Tonka beat Wyzata 5-2.. Tonka really proved that they are the team to beat. Wyzata started rolling 4 forwards at the end of the second period and yet only scored 1 goal, with that approach. Both teams had good chances, tonkas goalie was outstanding, Wyzata's was good stopping countless breakaways, yes countless, tonka also rang iron 3 or 4 times.

I was at the Tonka Tourney and I walked away believing that Tonka is the best team in the state as of now, there is no one out there that can compete with them. The line of 5, 8, and 14 is really a solid line that produces a lot of odd man rushes. Until I see a solid defensive core that can stop these skilled fowards of Tonka, they will be my favorite to win the state championship. I saw a lot of skills coming from the Wayzata side too, they played well, however Edina was a dissappointment
