Makes sense that they wouldn't go. Both solid players from Minneapolis and it is good to see them get some attention.
The reality is the WHL is Major Junior hockey. Once you have played the first minute of your first game, you cannot play NCAA hockey (D1 or D3). As I understand it, you are 'all in' on a track to the NHL that does not include USA college play when you decide to play WHL, OHL, or QHL.
Better off going USHL, BCHL, or other Tier one path that leaves D1 college as an option on that path. |

| Many of the players on the NHL track end up playing one or maybe two years of D1 only. And then do those guys really spend that much time on the school part of the experience [Okposo; Johnson; Leddy]? Obviously there are other opportunities for these kids; Keegan could be one of these players; he should have a bunch of opportunities coming his way. And if one of these is outside of "Minnesota" hockey, so be it. Is Iverson really going to develop playing Class A hockey and is the Elite League really all that? Word is that the Elite is getting as corrupt and political as all the other programs. |

| he had a knee injury only a bruise but took time off of contact he is only a freshman and dooesnt want to ruin his hockey career now |
