This kid is just torching the city of Duluth. Beats East almost singlehandedly in the AA ship, scores two goals to help the Gophers to win in OT, and then scores the game winner last night. Unreal.

No doubt Rau has that "it" factor. He just knows how to play the game and make big plays. The haters can keep on with it and he'll just keeping doing his thing. 8)

They're all legit. Rau is a fantastic addition to the Gopher squad. Sit back and enjoy the run. Rau is going to be a force, ..........all.........season.......long.

Good for you, it take a man to admit he was wrong. I just hope Kyle stays healthy - if he does he is going to really help this Gopher team.

Rau is WOW, but I didnt like what I saw from a weaker slower team in Vermont last night. Grant it he got back up, but Rau got laid out twice. The one hit he sat on the bench regrouping a little. Hope he can stay healthy all season he is fun to watch.

Two more assists last night up in Anchorage which gives him 11 points (6 goals, 5 assists) in just 7 games. Who says D1 is a tough adjustment for a true freshman? :)

Awesome game tonight against North Dakota, especially when he helped kill off that 5 minute major. I'm becoming a bigger believer every time I see him play.

Game winning goal again tonight....he knows where to go to give himself chances, and he knows how to convert on those chances. Looking to be the best freshman player the Gophers have had in quite some time!

Great weekend for the Gophs and Kyle. It is officially fun to watch the Gophs again this year. My kid commented last night that the conditioning coach must have done a good job because they look like they are winning races to and battles fo the puck and he wasn't used to seeing that the last couple of years. Not sure it has anything to do with conditioning, but they do seem to have new focus and energy that they have not had for a while. Go Gophers

Rau is definitely something special and he's continuing to improve which is even more impressive. Smallest kid on the team goes after Ben Blood. That shows dedication to the team and to the 'M' As for the conditioning of the team they can thank Taylor Matson for that. He is the hardest working player on that team and as captain he had that team working just as hard right along with him before the season started.

Its funny but after watching Kyle for so many years nothing he does surprises me anymore. Hockey sense like his is something you are just born with. Add a giant heart and some pretty good skill and you have a hell of a hockey player no matter what his size is. Gosh I hope he sticks around!
