Congratulations to Coach Trebil on an incredible run. He's a class act and Holy Angels is fortunate that he will still be involved in their hockey program.

What's with the early start this season? The Stars have typically started their season 2-3 weeks after the season opener and are starting this coming Saturday this year, which seems pretty early for them. Any insight?

My only guess is that they could schedule their opponents at this time, so why not.
STARS will have a tough year, they lost a lot of firepower and will need to see who can step up. Their first half will see them worn down with a lot of powerhouse teams. The second half is pretty much all conference.
STARS go with:
Holy Family 12/3
Stillwater 12/7
New Prague 12/10
BSM 12/13
Chanhassen 12/15
Breck 12/21
STA, game two and three of Schwans 12/26 - 12/28
Farmington 1/3
Edina 1/5
Eden Prairie 1/7
Northfield 1/10
Chaska 1/12
Minnetonka 1/14
before they play only conference teams....
