Toninato shined in that period, and Meirs Moore deserves a lot of credit for the work he is doing on defense tonight. But everyone is chipping in tonight, and it's all working brilliantly.
The goalie change may have simply been an attempt to boost team morale, but the starter for Tonka really didn't have an awful night. Most of the East goals have been breakaways or beautiful set-ups. (Or bad defensive lapses, in the case of the Forbort goal.)

Moore got the score. Tonka flat a a pancake not necessarily tired. I think the blowout over arch rival Edina left them flat. East was flat last night vs STA. Back sharp tonight. Olson centering second line

As long as the Hounds close this out, my vacation will be that much more perfect.

Don't go into a shell, Hounds. Do exactly what you did the first two periods.

I love how people have been voting for East. After they already had a big lead.

Had them as the winner a while ago
I would have loved to say Hill but they just don't have it this year. Could make a run at state though, they alway show up that time of year.

Ragged third period for the Hounds, but they still win by 4. I did not hear Repensky's name - did he play? Olson on line #2 really adds some juice to their attack. Special club, East fans.

Congrats to the Hounds, my 2nd fav team in the state.
Let's just hope the next time they play that we get good weather and good ice, would hate to see any player from either team get an injury.
Look forward to seeing my Duluth friends at Maynards.

Repensky did not play--Moore logged an awful lot of ice time tonight.
Tonight's game shows that the sky is the limit for this Hounds team. Still, potential isn't worth anything unless it's realized, and there's still a long ways to go. They've got themselves a well-earned week of rest now, and hopefully they can be more or less healthy for Maple Grove next week. They're going to have that #1 target fixed firmly on their backs now, so things won't be getting any easier from here.
