I think the U18s are after the Ted Brill has completed as they get the players from there.

No

18s is a really small group as it is only 94 juniors.

Great 8 is all seniors, 93s and 94s.

The invites are out to the athletes. Both events are in the process of registration so I'm sure rosters will be announced after they know who's playing.

It has Voce of Princeton and Graves of Mora listed in section 2&6, but they should be in 5?
Also, why are the sections combined this year?

No, "18s" did. This thread is becoming confused. Great 8 rosters are not out yet.

The "18's" are only for juniors, and only those born in 1994. Maybe that will take some of the confusion out of the thread.

I wasn't confused until I read what gardetto said..."For some reason they took some 11th graders this year" which is what the 18's always do and the Great 8 never does. It's all good.

Not sure how great the turnout will be for the Great 8. It will be hitting over spring break for quite a few districts, so some will not be able to attend.
Senior Trips - some will be just leaving for the trip and some will be just getting back.

Here are a few school districts that will run into conflicts with the schedule.
Lakeville
Burnsville
Eagan
Savage
Prior Lake
Bloomington
Edina
Eden Prairie
Minnetonka
Benilde

I thought the GREAT 8 was for seniors only NOT 11th graders, So I guess I was mislead on that information. I cannot recall last year if any 11th graders played in the tourney or not.

I thought they altered the rule because with 17's and 18's, sometimes there are people born late in the year so they'd be a junior and have to play up? I heard that had something to do with it..

The title of the thread indicates this should all be about the Great 8, but someone brought up "18s". The confusion continues.

The Great 8 is for graduating seniors.
18s is for older birth year juniors (1994).
18s rosters are out. Great 8s are not.
All is as has been and should be.
