The Ivy League schools have, in recent years, made an effort to make college affordable for all of their students, not just the athletes. The quality of athletes in all of their sports have increased significantly as a result...anybody have Harvard in their brackets this past weekend?

It's pretty sweet when you're given an opportunity to play D1 hockey, with a financial aid/scholarship package that is guaranteed whether you play or not (or get injured, or go pre-med). That's the great advantage over any athletic scholarship offered by any D1 program.

That said, SDSU does have something that the Ivy's don't....location, location, location. I think it's something like 85% of Mn high school grads end up going to college either in Mn or in an adjacent state. Upper Midwestern kids just like to hang around. And it's a whole lot easier for your family to watch you play up at that next level when you're just down the road.
Agree with you 100%. It just depends on the person.

How long before Bitzer signs with D-1 school? Hard to believe he is unsigned and definitely believe he will be in USHL before long.

That is correct. Maple Grove could have had Cammarata and Carlson (NTDP) in 2010-2011

Looks like both Brodzinski and Gross are playing tonight in the Green Bay vs Muskegon game. Both wearing #20 ironically.

Is there a reason kloos and zajac and Heinrich are not playing for them now or is it just the players choice to finish their last month or two of high school at home?

I do not know. My best guess was to finish high school at home.

I think it depends on whether or not you are on the active roster or the affiliate list. Kloos and Zajac are on the affiliate list so they can only play 6 games this year and not in the playoffs. Letteri is on the active roster so he is allowed to play an unlimited number of games. Some teams choose not to put players on the active list, i think the roster deadline was somewhere around march 1.

Judging from the boxscore Kloos and Cammarata clicked on the same line last night.

Kloos isn't eligible for the playoffs, right?

Watched Dickman and Toninato in Fargo last weekend. Toninato played on a solid game. Should have had 2 or 3 points. Dickman needs to work on his skating.
