Zack Mills didn't make it from Hill Murray, made there JV team as an eighth grader and seen some varsity time this year. The Insider wrote:No Jake Jeremko or Mitch Reinke?? Jeremko was the best player on Section 7, made it to national camp last year... And Reinke is a very crafty defenseman. Other wise, pretty good job.
The 96 HP List and birth year is comprised of sophs and frosh. The soph class from northern MN has a lot of upper end '95 talent and you will find them on the 95 HP List. The '96 group from northern MN is not as deep. Many would argue there's more than a fair share from this group that made the final 54. It seems the organizers attempt to pull from all corners of the state even if it means omitting metro kids that may have played/showed better at the festival. Bottom line, it is a #'s game. There are many more kids playing hockey (and to draw from) in the Twin Cities, so the list seems relatively balanced rather than smelly.deacon64 wrote:Something smells only a handful of kids from Northern MN... The advanced 15 (97's) program, district 4 needed to pull from other districts to fill a team. Might be the same type of problem with the northern players?blewbyyou wrote:The 96 HP List and birth year is comprised of sophs and frosh. My opinion as always is BEST players should make it period. Best players at camp PERIOD! Picking from all over the state??? Best players should make it no matter where they're from. They do this on the girls side also and makes no sense to me. Oh and don't forget the fact that a name also helps in a selection. Another opinion save your money and use it for something else unless you're a top 20 player.
Just sayin.
Just sayin.

Wow.... I know you can never get it perfect. But you gotta do better...hockey8543 wrote:Zack Mills didn't make it from Hill Murray, made there JV team as an eighth grader and seen some varsity time this year. The Insider wrote:No Jake Jeremko or Mitch Reinke?? Jaremko made it.
I could swear Blue 8 is Jacob Jaremko....No Jake Jeremko or Mitch Reinke?? Jeremko was the best player on Section 7, made it to national camp last year... And Reinke is a very crafty defenseman. Other wise, pretty good job.

Re: Jaremko made it.
Yes, you are right. But he was not on the original roster. Blue 8 was Lukas Gillette. Looked back a couple days later and Jaremko was there. Not sure what happened... Anyone know why he wasn't on the original roster?PWD10 wrote:I could swear Blue 8 is Jacob Jaremko....No Jake Jeremko or Mitch Reinke?? I believe Gillette got hurt in the Festival. Jaremko must have been an alternate.

That is the most stupid comment. Of course the kids care if they make it or not and are not just going to shrug it off in 1-2 hours. There could be worse things then taking interest in your kids. Just sayinTigers33 wrote:Pretty sad that you get enjoyment from a 16-17 year old kid not making it.
How many daddy's got their heart broken this week when you found your son didnt make it? I bet the kid got over it in about 1-2 hours. Dad's? TBD.

Very stupid comment... Its pretty sad that "daddy's" are getting their hearts broken over their kid not making a select team. If there son just got cut from the Minnesota Wild I could understand.Tigers33 wrote:Pretty sad that you get enjoyment from a 16-17 year old kid not making it.
