Cloquet @ Bloomington Jefferson

Post by Lumberjack » Thu Nov 29, 2012 8:15 am

Cloquet travels south to Bloomington to take on the Jags. North vs. South, can the Jacks top line carry them to a road W?

My skater will be playing his first HS game here, so I can't wait to walk into the Hallowed Halls. Good luck to both teams!

This will be a fun game to watch. North vs. South. AA big school vs. AA little school. A fight for bragging rights. Will the North brag after this one or the South. I'll be at the game...can't wait =)

Jags will be a good and will compete in the SSC. I'll say they beat the Lumberjacks 4-3 in a minor upset.

Jag v jacks

5-4 Jags after 2.

Jags rattled off 5 straight in the 2nd. Jacks countered with 2 to end the period.

First team to 7, wins this one...

Wow, my earlier prediction actually happened:
Jags win in OT, 7-6...

Cloquet at Jefferson - Mess of a game.

Jefferson vs Cloquet...

People may look at the score and attribute the 13 goals to two high powered offenses but this was a really messy game.. This was my 10th game in the first 9 nights of the season (watched the Edina - Laveville game online) and was probably the ugliest, though the Hill Murray- Burnsville game was pretty sloppy as well.

Cloquet's first line was pretty good but I was expecting more after seeing the three in the Elite League this fall. Not as good as what I've seen from Edina this year (and maybe even Blaine.) Cloquet kid deflected the winner past his own goalie and on one another play the Cloquet goalie came about 10 feet out of net to clear a puck down ice but shot right into an oncoming Jaguar and he put it into a wide open net... That kind of game.. Jono Lindquist looked pretty good for Jefferson and had a handful of points...
