OPEN TRYOUTS hosted by the Lake Erie Monsters (AHL)

Calling all those 20 years of age or older:

Think you have what it takes to play professional hockey?

Cleveland’s Lake Erie Monsters (AHL) will be hosting open hockey tryouts on Saturday, August 17th and Sunday, 18th at OBM Arena in Strongsville, Ohio. Participating players will be competing for the chance to be invited to training camp with the Monsters’ CHL affiliate, the Denver Cutthroats, in the fall. Any free agent hockey player 20 years of age or older is eligible.

The two-day tryouts will be led by members of the Denver Cutthroats coaching staff and Lake Erie Monsters representatives.

Please note, this is NOT a tryout to be invited to the Lake Erie Monsters training camp.

During the 2012-13 season, several players who appeared in games for the Monsters also spent time with the Cutthroats, including Markus Lauridsen and Gabriel Beaupre, both of whom have now signed NHL contracts.

Cost for the tryout is $225. Included in the fee will include a practice with coaches and management staff of the Monsters and their affiliates, as well as two official scrimmages at OBM Arena. Also included will be an official tryout jersey provided by the Monsters.

See you on the ice!
