Good game

after what happened on Tuesday, I think Moorhead showed a lot of guts tonight... They rebounded nicely...

The shot totals I heard announced after the game were 26-19 for the Spuds. I think I heard it right. Maybe someone else can confirm it or correct it.

I thought Duncan played very well. He made some big saves on a couple of WBL's power plays and also made a nice stop on a breakaway.

I also noticed that Jordy Christian didn't play at all in the 3rd period or the OT. I don't know why though. I didn't see him get hurt, but it's possible I guess. Does anybody know why Jordy didn't finish the game?

Ouch! Thanks for the info, Slappy. I hope Jordy recovers quickly. That goal he scored tonight was a thing of beauty.

when these two played at state last year in the first round i was dissapointed because in my opinion that should have been the championship game. it was easily my favorite game to watch in the tourney last year. this year both teams are very equal and i guess the only way to do decide is by favorites.

wbl 2

spuds 1

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... veMoore at: 1/7/06 2:10 am

they did not play at state last year, Moorhead played Rochester Century in the first round and WBL played Duluth East. Moorhead and Duluth East won the games.

I know for sure WBL had 25 shots on net, and i would guess that moorheads were right around there as well. very fun game to watch both teams had numerous chances to score, Faust played an outstanding game and made many key saves expecially during the spuds pp in ot.
The curse lives on.....

Game review

Post by Spud 86 »

Both teams played well and it was a fun game to watch. The Christian goal in P1 was outstanding .. I love this kid. He was injured shortly thereafter and didn't play the rest of the game. Krause was out too. For a very young young team, Moorhead has a ton on courage. When WBL tied it up early in P3, the Spuds lit on fire and dominated the rest of the way. The WBL goalie and the strong checking in the D zone saved the tie. Most of the end of regulation and OT was played in the WBL end.

This young Spuds team will be dominant next year. Once they get their 2 best players back, they will starting winning games like tonight.

I like watching games at Aldrich .. dreading going to the Spuds game at Centennial later this year. That rink is aweful.
