Thanks to all participants, 23 of you. Most games are quite one-sided, according to our expert panel, but the Breck/Edina game is the most hotly contested, with Edina enjoying a slight 13-10 edge. Second, CDH over Mounds View at 14-8-1 is our second closest contest.

As always, good luck to all participants.

Did Elk River really outshoot Maple Grove 44-23? The Hockey Hub appears to more accurate this year but you never know?

Ironic that 4 out of 9 games went to OT, with two of those ending in an OT tie!

It was indeed a night of overtimes and tie games across the state, certainly no different for our big games of the week. One of our participants in particular took advantage of this in his/her predictions.

Dodge County defeated Hopkins 5-3 as 19 of our prognosticators were correct. The Bone predicted the correct score to take an early lead.

In a big upset according to our panel, Chaska/Chan defeated Breck 4-3, with only massalsa boldly predicting a CC win.

Maple Grove edged Elk River/Zimmerman 2-1 in overtime, as 18 people correctly predicted. Hugo_lucas also predicted the correct score.

Rochester John Marshall/Lourde made their arrival in the top 20 a pleasant one as they bested Mankato East 4-1. 21 of our panelists agreed. Further, hockeymaven, sinbin, and hockeybozo predicted the correct score.

Blake defeated Red Wing 6-1 in our BGotW. This might make me re-think my idea of using KRACH to define these games and rather choose one based more on a subjective marquee match-up. All 23 contestants picked Blake and, although a few were close, no one picked the correct score.

Hill-Murray got off the schneid and routed Lakeville South 4-0 as 21 of our panelists predicted. No one was able to pick this score correctly.

Proctor/Hermantown defeated Princeton 4-3 in OT as this gave a point to all 23 contestants, but no one quite picked that score.

Cretin-Derham Hall tied Mounds View in a game that was hotly contested, with 14 picking a CDH win. Massalsa leapfrogged ahead of us mere mortals, correctly predicting both a tie and a 2-2 score.

In the final game, another tie, this time between Roseau and Thief River Falls, 1-1. Spars46 was the only contestant to garner a point by predicting a draw.

With nine games down and seven to go, the race is very tight. A correct score or two, plus the outcome of the Edina/Breck game will likely forge the final outcome. The leaderboard currently shows:

8 massalsa
7 hugo_lucas, sinbin, spars46
6 blondegirlsdad, clutterbucket, Conventional Wisdom, D6GirlsFan, hockeybozo, Hockeymaven, maverick2000, nu2hockey, otter, panpan111, rascalbrock
5 9 others

Enjoy your Thanksgivings with family and/or friends and consider all of the things, hockey and non-hockey, for which we can be thankful. Good luck to all.

Friday's games provided few surprises to our expert panel.

Mound/Westonka edged Alexandria 2-1 to which all but two of our contestants agreed. No one was able to correctly predict the score.

Blaine pummeled Hibbing/Chisholm 7-1, although six of our prognosticators did not see this one coming. No one nailed the correct score.

In the final game last night, Thief River Falls bested Proctor/Hermantown 3-1. All of our panelists had this outcome, with additionally Hockeymaven, Knight7, 36Guy, and The Bone getting the correct score. This was the second correct score of the week for Hockeymaven and The Bone. Well done, folks.

The leaderboard currently shows a logjam at the top.

10 Hockeymaven, hugo_lucas, massalsa, sinbin, spars46
9 36Guy, blondegirlsdad, clutterbucket, Conventional Wisdom, D6GirlsFan, hockeybozo, maverick2000, nu2hockey, otter, panpan111, rascalbrock, The Bone
8 2 others
7 4 others
6 1 other

With four games today, will anyone emerge from the peloton to sprint to victory? At least we can rest assured that any victory here is honestly earned and not performance-enhanced. Three of today's games are one-sided, but the Breck-Edina game is close to a toss-up. That, along with correct scores, will determine our winner(s). Good luck to all.

Final games of the week, with many correct scores and some changes in rankings.

Orono topped Alexandria 4-2, as all but one of our panelists projected. U10father and D6GirlsFan also predicted the correct score.

Mound-Westonka defeated Moose Lake 4-2 as our group unanimously predicted and Nordic predicted the correct score.

In the most divisive game of the week, Edina bested Breck 5-2 as a slight majority of 13 contestants guessed. No one was able to nail the correct score.

In the final and deciding game of the evening, Roseau defeated Warroad 4-1. While all but two contestants were correct, four of them also predicted the correct score - U10father, D6GirlsFan, panpan111, and mnhockey3535.

By virtue of a great final day and solid predictions along the way, D6GirlsFan leapfrogs to the top and wins his/her second week in a row. Will someone be able to step up and challenge the rest of the way?

Final results are:

15 D6GirlsFan
14 massalsa, sinbin, spars46
13 36Guy, blondegirlsdad, hugo_lucas, otter, panpan111, rascalbrock, The Bone, U10father
12 clutterbucket, Conventional Wisdom, hockeybozo, Hockeymaven, Knight7, maverick2000, nu2hockey
11 3 others
10 2 others

Look for Week 4 games later tonight.
