Warm-up music

Post by Rocketwrister » Thu Dec 29, 2005 5:04 pm

This might be in the wrong area of this board so I apologize if it is. But what are the favorite warm-up songs of high school teams? I'm interested to hear the different songs.

We all know AC/DC is a staple but what else?
www.rebelhockey.com

Here is a list of songs I play at the IRA. I put this list together with the help of Steve R., the Minnesota Wild D.J.

Pedal to the Metal is my favorite warm up song, I love playing that song when Rapids skates out for pre game warm-ups.

1. Pedal to the Metal - Kazzer
2. Ride with me - the vines
3. Renegades of Funk - Rage against the machine
4. My hero - Foo Fighters
5. Smooth Criminal - Alien Ant Farm
6. Vertigo - U2
7. Get Free- the Vines
8. Everlong - Foo Fighters
9. Best of you - Foo Fighters
10. Never gonna stop me - Rage against the machine
11. All my life - Foo Fighters

I'm not sure if both 3 and 10 are by Rage, I know one of them is.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... hs>GR19 at: 12/29/05 5:16 pm

I think it's great when they play 'Game Over' during warm-ups at the Sports Center in Moorhead.

metallica had their day, but my god, everytime I hear them in the weight room I'm ready to vomit I'm so sick of them. To each his own.

A DJ that needs help is the dude in Hibbing. 80's music and Miami Vice theme music during warm ups. What next, White Snake? Danger Zone? The best warm-up song has to be Guns n' Roses-Welcome to the Jungle and also another good one is Ozzy Osbourne-Crazy Train

those 2 songs

Post by gr19 » Thu Dec 29, 2005 9:31 pm

welcome to the jungle and crazy train are on my list, but I use them for the opening face-off of a period. The intro is the best part of those two songs. One year vs. CEC going into OT I played Welcome to the Jungle and the entire place was on their feet for the face-off going nuts.

warm up songs

Post by spectator8 » Thu Dec 29, 2005 10:04 pm

i sure hope that warroad gets mr. james back. the new guy has been playing music that has a tendancy to put the guys to sleep. This goes on throughout the whole game. Granted he and his wife have done a lot for the program, which im sure they are thankful for, but the announcing just isnt one of his strengths. the voice of dan james and his music selections will forever be the standard for what announcing should be at any game.

Very disappointed with the "DJ" at the Xcel for the Championship game. It has been a tradition for about the last couple of years for the p-town tigers to take the ice to "Black Betty" By: Ram Jam. Thanks to music man Andy Lewis we always have good music

I was trying to be nice about it. I went through a Creed phase when i was 14 so I can't totally bash it. But it does suck, especially for hockey warm-ups.
2A

creed and sandstorm were good when they came out about 2000-2001 I think. Neither song is on my list anymore. Some songs just have a good beat for warmups, others to open a period. Most of my warmup songs have a lot of drums in them and kinda go along with all the shots taken in warmups, they kinda match each others rythym.
