oh my
I don't know what to say. I could not imagine a coach letting a kid on the ice with one of these things. Talk about undermining what a coach is trying to accomplish. The coach is suppose to be the one instructing the kid. I thought this was a joke at parents thinking they know more than the coach and think they could coach their kid better. Worse thing I've ever seen. If you guys need this, you need new/better coaches.

I am waiting for the version that has (I might also invent it who knows) the dog shock collar attachment so that I can give the little bugger a boost when he needs it. I really hate seeing a Mite who is on track to play for the Wild dragging butt down the ice. Doesn't he know scouts can be watching at all times?????
(you can safely assume that I am kidding here)

You know at first I though it was funny. But then I saw it and saw how the white on white was very subtle, I mean hardly even noticeable. That really sold me that this might not be a bad idea....InigoMontoya wrote:It's funny to some because they think it absurd; funny to others because they've seen it actually happening.

This would be a rules violation in every league ever.
Just an example from USA Hockey:
Rule 308 Electronic Devices
(a) The use of one or two-way radios, lights or other electronic
devices as a means for Team Officials or spectators to
communicate with players or goalkeepers, during play, shall
be prohibited.
(b) No electronic device shall be used to question, challenge or
dispute a game official’s decision or judgment while the game
is in progress.
(c) For violation, the device will be removed and the team
assessed a bench minor penalty for an equipment violation.

And if it came with an optional self esteem building app (free of course) for those moments when the little bugger actually skated a full shift it would probably work. Tell USA Hockey that the increase in self esteem and feelings of self worth will keep kids in hockey longer which will increase their cash flow and numbers. USA hockey will mandate it.silentbutdeadly3139 wrote:but its so subtle they wouldn't notice he had an electronic deviceQuackerTracker wrote:This would be a rules violation in every league ever.

I don't think Quacker gets the joke or didn't watch the whole video or something. He's, umm, responding like we are serious...silentbutdeadly3139 wrote:but its so subtle they wouldn't notice he had an electronic deviceQuackerTracker wrote:This would be a rules violation in every league ever.

True story from a pee wee game I was coaching in several years ago.
We were playing our cross town rivals in a very high paced, heated game and things on the bench were happening at a typical chaotic level. One of my players comes off the ice on the fly for a line change and asks if I have my cell phone. I asked what he was talking about and he said he wanted to use my phone. I told him he was about to go back out on the ice in about 40 seconds and asked who he thought he was going to call. He had the greatest response I ever had in my coaching career. He yells:
"I want to call my mom in the stands and tell her to SHUT UP!! Can't you hear her up there?"
Still my favorite coaching story.
