Thanks again, Brian, for all of your work in updating KRACH throughout the year. And thanks too to LSQRANK for keeping everyone up to date on those computer rankings!

Just thinking...it would be interesting to add separate entries for both KRACH and LSQRANK into nu2hockey's section contests. Although just one series of games would in no way prove which one of these is the better ranking system, it would be interesting to see how it would shake out.

And, perhaps more importantly...is it possible that any real live human fan would be able to beat both of them??? ;)
(hint hint, please submit your entries into nu2hockey's section contests).
You're welcome and it's great to have another version with LSQ, QRF, and others now. I started doing this 15 years ago because the only computerized ranking for MN G HS hockey was dropped and so we had nothing. As a coach at that time, I really missed a non-human biased (other than the computer algorithm) approach. I hope to keep doing it in the years to come but we'll see how busy things get. If for no other reason, it's interesting to compare to what's out there now as opposed to nothing else existing.

With KRACH and QRF would you use the respective rankings before sections for the entire sectional tourney or (IMO) rerun the program after quarterfinals and semifinals
I would say the former, same rules for both us humans and the machines!
Yep LSQRANK has entered both A& AA ....with scores

The other two we can use their rankings
It would be interesting to see. Unfortunately I didn't have the time to enter it myself in the pick-em. I suppose one would use the Feb 5 version of KRACH for this comparison as it was the last ranking prior to the start of sections. http://www.bgoski.com/KRACH_OA_20170205.htm or by section if easier: http://www.bgoski.com/KRACH_SEC_20170205.htm

OK I have to ask, how did your old school lose to my old school in the 4A quarterfinals? ;)

Looks like it came down to goaltending in the end. SH GWG while being heavily outshot in the third. My wife was a V asst coach at Sibley a couple years back and the goalie coach but the goalie at Sibley looks to be a younger/newer player. Congrats to the Warriors!
