First result has:
Stillwater 3 CDH 2. OT win.

I also have a report that Maple Grove beat Centennial 5-4.

In the first case, it would be considered an upset according to the forum members with only 2 members picking Stillwater.

The Bone and puckdreams got it right.

Game Notes:

Hannah Anderson got the OT gwg for Stillwater last night... assisted by Jablonski and Einan

CDH led in the SOG 45 to 24 , but not in the ones that count

Well Done to the Bone and puckdreams for picking the winner!( both missed the score)

In the MG-Cent game we had 15 pick the winner but no correct score

It's interesting that there were 5 powerplay goals in the MG/Cent game, with 4 being in the 3rd period! Opponents might beware of putting these two teams on the powerplay.

Next Games are Thurs.. Good Luck

Yeah, probably don't want to get in the box vs MG or Centennial.

Thursday scores:

#12AA Chaska/Chanhassan 3, #11AA Lakeville South 5

This first game was considered a toss-up for the forum, with 8 choosing C/C and 9 choosing LS to win...surprisingly we have no correct scores
The game was tied after 2 periods, but, LS scored 2 in the 3rd to seal the win. It seems that a game ejection may have been the turning point here.

As a side note, we are tracking major penalties/ misconduct penalties, since they appear to be on the rise

#13AA Forest Lake 1, #2A Breck 3

16 of our players picked Breck to win with clutterbucket, feranged, and nu2hockey picking the correct score.
A surprising 12 thought Breck would score 4 or more goals...
The 3rd period recorded 8 penalties, 5 by FL...
zd probably can fill in some insight here

#9AA Centennial 7, #14AA Eagan 4

16 chose Cent to win with 0 correct scores
Cent jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the 1st period, but Eagan did manage to cut the lead to 2 goals on two different occasions, but the early lead was just too much

One last note, if anyone sees a purple and gold construction barrel, plz send it to Winter Park to be used as a left tackle....jeez

OH, does anyone know why the Moundsview/Wayzata was cancelled?

Nu2hockey,
An awful accident Thursday morning before school at MV claimed the lives of 2 juniors at the school and hospitalized one other. All activities after school were cancelled/postponed.

Prayers to the family and friends of MV are needed.

first score tonight :

Breck 7 P/H 0

Shots were nearly even between the two teams, but, it appears the game was marred by 11 penalties.

Everyone, except misterright , picked Breck to win, no exact scores

Tonka 6 vs Warroad 3

It appears that Tonka winning is a bit of a surprise with only 6 picking them, but again no correct scores

with no stats yet...so until tonight's final games

Also noteworthy is Grace Zumwinkle's 4 goals came in short bursts. Her two in the 1st period came 17 seconds apart, and she improved on that in the 2nd by scoring two in just 16 seconds.

Not a 'big game" here this week, but something very unusual last night in the Blake/East Grand Forks game. Something you don't see everyday: a team that scores 6 goals on 65 shots on goal in regulation allows its opponent to score three goals themselves. Apparently defense was not a priority for either team in this game.

White Bear wins 3-2 over Cretin, great game Cretin outshot WB 38-28 but White Bear goalie was very good.

Not that it makes much difference, but Mr right guessed that warroad would beat EP. Maybe it does because he is no longer tied for least points this week

Heard there was an article in the Grand Forks paper from someone at a rink today so thought I would check it out...read it and figured I would post it:

http://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/ ... rls-hockey

Also interesting today was that two powerhouse Lake conference clubs played two powerhouse schools up north this weekend. EP and Tonka both played Warroad and Roseau. I believe that all teams were 1-1 with Tonka beating Warroad and losing to Roseau and EP beating Roseau and losing to Warroad. Most surprising in my mind was Warroad beating EP 5-1 (as evidenced by 0 picks of Warroad over EP).

Assuming she stays healthy I believe the over/under on regular season goals from the best HS player in MN right now is 60 goals...
