I don't know enough to compare these players but I did find it interesting that the #2 forward on this list had an article published about him within the last 3 weeks about how he is the next big star coming up. You would think the next big star would be able to reach #1 in position.

Also, no offense to the sbn college hockey guys, but they write some terribly vague articles. You read any of the free agent signing articles and they all say one good thing the player does, an area he struggles in and abruptly ends with point totals.

No Minny kids made the team this year. Only chance is if other kids turn down invite.

Not good for Minnesota from an optics perspective, but probably good for Minnesota in effect. Mittelstadt sticking around this season, an outstate public school AA final, and skilled underclassmen sticking around next season should make for fewer departures and a higher quality of hockey overall. Not having kids on the NTDP one year isn't going to have much effect on the number of kids we send to D1 in the future.
