Warroad 4, Roseau 0 after 1. Shots 12-5 Warriors, who don't look like they're at all a downgrade from last season's edition. Lethal finishing.

Crazy ending to an otherwise doll game. Delano tied it with 27 seconds left, then Orono netted the winner just nine seconds later.

Warroad 6, Roseau 3, final. Roseau clawed a few back at the end to make a rough game look a bit less lopsided. Warroad just looks like a bunch of kids playing pond hockey, and it's a treat to watch. Superb finishing and just nasty on special teams. I think they've reclaimed frontrunner status in 8A despite the departure of Slukynsky. I don't think Roseau is as bad as they looked early on here, and they still are probably the favorite in 8AA, but they got torn apart at the start and won't be able to compete with many front-line teams if they play like that again.

Good entertainment in the absence of an East game tonight. Looking forward to the trek to Rapids on Thursday.

It's surreal, and seeing a mostly empty IRA for East-Rapids will be especially weird. But, at least it's hockey. I'll miss mingling with people at games the most, but hey, that's what this forum and Twitter are for. (And for the record, I'm pretty much only attending East games in person this season. Not sure it's worth the hassle trying to get on other teams' lists.)

Karl’s pond hockey comparison is a good one. The Rams seem to let the Warriors kids walk right into the slot or the face off circle areas at will in the first period and to some but lesser extent in the 2nd .I flipped over to Wild game so I didn’t see comeback efforts

I, too, miss the mingle with some old classmates & the general friendliness & atmosphere at the Greenway games we attend + those down here between city rivals, etc. Glad there's Up North Hockey & Facebook links so I can at least watch.
You're right so strange seeing almost empty arenas & the cheerleaders cheering to an empty room. They must feel they're at practice!
