Spoke to a few folks about this topic. Almost identical response from everyone. Either "Not surprised" or "It's been like that for years"

Bombshell complaint alleges abusive behavior by Warroad girls hockey staff
The group of parents say players have been subjected to sexually harassing comments, bullying, and public drunkenness.

An open letter issued by a group of players, parents and community members alleges a series of abusive and inappropriate conduct by members of staff on the Warroad High School girls' hockey team.
The letter makes a series of claims about behavior players have been subjected to while playing for Warroad, which includes sexual harassment, bullying, public urination, and drunkenness, by staff.
In a statement posted to its social media pages on Friday, Warroad High School said that "concerns raised by some individuals regarding the Warroad Girls Hockey program have already been addressed."
"We recognize that some may not be satisfied, but ISD #690 is looking forward and prepared for a positive and exciting season as we support all our Warriors!" it added.
Warroad has become a powerhouse in Minnesota high school hockey, with the girls team winning the state Class A championship in St. Paul for the past two years, beating Proctor/Hermantown in 2022 and Orono in 2023.
Those who signed the letter say they have approached hockey coaches and school administration regarding their complaint, and issued the letter "to promote safety within the program and ensure a positive environment exists for all youth athletes involved in the Warroad Girls Hockey Program."

Among the allegations they make are:
• Sexually harassing comments and public urination in front of minor players.
• Drinking alcohol while supervising players on overnight trips.
• A member of staff consuming so much alcohol they passed out in a player's room and in bed with members of the team.
• Allowing players to leave the hotel and be out unattended in St. Paul past 3 a.m.
• Ignoring concussion protocol and allowing players to play without clearance.
• Berating and bullying players, causing "emotional distress."
• Using players of the team for advertising purposes without their consent.
• Disciplining a player because of her protected free speech.

Further specifics the allegations, including dates and times, or details of the nature of the bullying, the advertising complaint, and why a student was disciplined, are not provided in the letter.
However, despite the school saying the concerns "have already been addressed," the authors of the letter say they are "dissatisfied with the level of any meaningful action or response from District 690."
"We have been open to addressing these matters through some type of mediated discussions but there has been no attempts at these discussions made from the High School Administration, School Board, or their counsel," the letter states. "We do not want to cause financial hardship for District 690 and only want to protect all players from the horrific experiences that our children have endured as well as so many before them in the girls hockey program."

There usually are multiple sides, but only one set of facts. If only one allegation is true, that should have been enough for a fresh start for the program.

IYKYK, this isn’t a hill worth defending.

Not defending, just pointing out that all that is posted is not always the actual facts.
