If EP can fix their Penalty Kill situation (at 73%), they might make some noise. In their 3 losses:

Lose to HM in OT giving up a PPG and a 6 on 5 goal
Lose to Edina giving up PPG, SH, and EN
Lose to Grand Rapids giving up 3 PPG

5-5 in those 3 games they outscored each team. They will give some teams some fits this year.

So it was. EGF actually controlled most of the first period, including killing off a major, but came away empty-handed, and the Hawks' top liners went to work in the 2nd. The third goal was as soft as it gets and EGF does not seem built to sustain a comeback. They can definitely skate with Hermantown and if they'd managed an early goal this is probably a different game, but solving Callaway is no easy task and the Hawks were without AJ Francisco, too.

In other news, St. Thomas Academy 3, Edina 2...I've definitely seen that gameplan deployed by the Cadets tonight somewhere before!
