SECTION 8AA , ST Cloud over Roseau 2-1
Re: Section 8AA
First big upset. I can't say I watched either team closely, but congrats to St. Cloud (the crush?) on an epic and unexpected trip to Roseau. Roseau had beat them 6-2 earlier in the year. I suppose this is good news for Moorhead.
I see Sartell has a solid record and tied Moorhead in their only meeting. Would be really cool to see some new blood at the X (make SEC Scotty happy).

That’s a rough one. I see Roseau outshot them around 45-10. Congrats to St. Cloud. That’s Minnesota hockey. You never know.

Re: Section 8AA
They have to get past Elk River first. I know they beat Elk River 6-3 during the regular season. But they also beat Brainerd 8-1 just a week ago, and only won 4-1 tonight. Very unimpressive win, in my opinion. This year, anything can and seems to be happening in Section 8.BlueLineSpecial wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2024 9:12 pm Moorhead doing the jig right about now. I watched the Hill game, and I can't see how Moorhead isn't doing better. Goaltending and defense aren't a strength, but man they scored some pretty goals off pretty passes. I think they're coming down to the cities again and will give someone a game. We'll see.CitiesSpudsGuy wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2024 9:19 pmThey have to get past Elk River first. The Spuds may find it appealing.

I can splash in the rink puddles!
Re: Section 8AA
I'm kinda rooting for Buffalo as the underdog. They seem to be a pesky team that gave Edina fits a couple weeks ago or so. Taking their licks in the Lake Conference maybe taught seem something what it takes to win at the next level?
