The best spring sport is the NHL Playoffs. After that, well, Nascar and baseball aren't that fun to watch. The MBL should knock the schedule down to about 50 games a year, then it would be interesting. 162, why not make it 500? What's the difference? Way too many games to give one damn about the regular season.

Perfect amount of games. Baseball is a sport that requires a LONG season.
Grand Rapids-2006 State Runner Up

Track & Field

Post by Knowlze »

I think track & field is much more than "athletic activity". It is probably the purest form of competition. No politics, no blown calls, no coaching blunders, no lucky bounces,......in general the fastest, highest, and furthest WIN in every event, every time,....simple as that. Very refreshing to watch kids compete, for pretty much nothing other than pride.

Obviously you didn't pay ANY attention to my post ae42. A guy could say the same thing about hockey..." what's the big deal about watching guys surf around the on ice? Like any other sport, it's the technique that endevors. Like I said, it's a matter of .001th's of seconds. If the 1st place drivers pit crew stop is 13.4 seconds and he was .010 seconds in front of the second place car, and the second place drivers pit stop is 12.8 seconds...guess who's in 1st place?

Its the fastest game on NON ICE DUDE!!!

Circles? NASCAR is not a sport...anyone can kick the pedal down (I got my 95 dodge intrepid to hit 105, whoopty doo)...not everyone can lace up a pair of skates and skate fast...

I know I know, the pit crew yadayadayada...that's some pretty impressive talent...but isn't it sad that the most talent on the race track doesn't even involve the guys in the cars?

NASCAR---boring to watch (I'm sure fun to play)

GOLF-can be fun to watch (more fun to play)

SOCCER- tolerable to watch (fun to play FIFA on videogames)

Taylor Mattson-The Next Non-Mr. Hockey

Old Timer, I know you know a little bit about hockey...and.......well.....you should just stick to that. Otherwise, Hawkfan is going to keep posting those hillarious pictures and I could have a fatal "laugh attack"

But what I said was true...therefore, I should stick to this.

I'm sure NASCAR could be fun to watch for some, hey, even the Antiques Road Show is fun for some people to watch...

But, like I said, anyone can push the pedal to the floor...not everyone can dangle from one end of the ice to the other a blast a slapper over the goalies glove...
Taylor Mattson-The Next Non-Mr. Hockey

I was in a car doing 150 mph once, it scared the living crap out of me. I would have to believe doing 190 mph, with other cars inches away, having to manuver between them, drafting off other cars in the correct possision so you don't fly up into the wall, etc, etc, etc. would take just a weeeee bit of talent????

It's a team sport...Owners, drivers, pit crew, etc. all have to work together like clock work.

Oh, it's the only sport I know of that will seat over 300,000 people too!

I know it's not for everyone but either is Antique Road Show
