They will be a top 5 again next year. As long as they have to battle with the Bears one great team will be left home.

WBL - Centennial

Post by 4checker » Sat Feb 26, 2005 8:27 pm

Has a game between these two programs ever been decided by more than one before?
Amazing how close the two teams are in depth and talent. Watched a couple of the Bantam A games between these two squads 2 or 3 years ago, and was amazed at how equal they were. Both ran 3 or 4 lines the entire games, just full of cookie-cutter forwards and strong D and solid tending. Fans told of 3 or 4 games that year between the 2 ending up in OT, even at State and VFW State.
Gotta really earn it to get out of that section.
Prepares them well for battles at the State tourney. Easy route thru Section 8 may be Moorhead's downfall again for another year, we'll have to wait and see.

Crashed and burned. Centennial #18 crashed into WBL Goalie and somehow got the puck through the legs into the net.

<a href="http://bestactionshots.com/Hockey/20050 ...

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p074.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... onShots at: 2/27/05 6:13 pm

THANK YOU! thats exactly what faust was mad about,18 did that even before the shot was taken. Refs should have called something. That was the only time this season i have seen faust get up and start yelling at the ref, anyone in his situation would have done the same.
Beware of the Bears

6 seniors

Post by centerman » Sun Feb 27, 2005 7:54 am

This year's team loses 6 seniors. 2 defensemen, 3 forwards and the goalie. 3 big losses will be RJ, Travis and Mike.

The juniors played WBL for both the MAHA and VFW state titles as bantams. Losing 4-2 and winning 5-4. The bantam and pee wee A teams are both currently ranked #2 in the state both winning districts. The squirts also won districts this year. This program is as deep as any and if the outsiders stay away they will be very good for years to come.

Is Bergren coming back next year for Centennial?
I think losing Travis V will be huge. He was fun to watch, quick and pesky.
I think they have the depth from their youth programs to still be a good team next year.

It's too bad they aren't in the tournament. But they made some critical errors on Friday night, one by the goalie, and you just can't do that against a good team like WBL.

Where is Centennial located and how did they become a hockey powerhouse the last few years never really heard anything about them before the last few years. I have hear some talk of them going to 7AA with Duluth East and Cloquet.

lino lakes, circle pines, lexington, part of blaine, and centerville are all the cities that i believe make up "centennial" they're cities between white bear lake and cambridge/isanti...hope that helps. kind of the outer metro....

kind of outer metro...what the hell do they teach at Hill? Blaine is its west border, Forest Lake north border, Mounds View is the south border, and White Bear is the east border. There are many things that make a great program...one is having a great one right next to them in White Bear. Just like EP and Edina. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)">

centennial should be good for a while. I was talking to a dad on my son's hockey team and he said centennial won every district this year from squirts to bantams
