Grand Rapids, MN -- In a surprising twist to an inconsistent season, the Grand Rapids Thunderhawk hockey team has forfeited their Section 7AA semi-final game to the Lumberjacks of Cloquet/Esko/Carlton. When asked about the forfeiture, school administrator's were quoted as saying, "We have it from a pretty reliable source that loses to good teams don't matter, so we figured that it essentially made a game against Cloquet, and then possibly Duluth East in the final, redundant." "We're just going under the assumption that we are the section champions now, and have already booked our hotel rooms for the State Tournament." It was further explained that the source that school administrator's relied on, is a frequenter of high school hockey message boards.
