LOOKS LIKE THERE'S MORE THAN ONE MAGNIFICENT OSHIE IN MN

Post by 1hockeyluver » Sun Jan 16, 2005 11:27 am

OUCH, OUCH, OUCH!!!

TIM OSHIE AND HIS JV SQUAD HAVE SQUANDERED THE UNDEFEATED STREAK OF MOORHEAD JV!

HOW OSHIE AND HIS TEAM DID IT IS UNREAL. With excellant goaltending, teamwork, great coaching and a little heart. The Warroad Warriors belittled the potatoes in their barn. Moorhead skated off the ice with their heads down. Congratulations Tim Oshie and the rest of the Warroad Program!! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/pimp.gif ALT=":hat">

HARD WORK BEATS TALENT......WHEN TALENT DOES NOT WORK HARD. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/roll.gif ALT=":rollin">

THE SPUDS

Post by HHS HoCkEy FaN » Sun Jan 16, 2005 11:53 am

I am glad to hear that warroad's jv beat the spuds. Now we get to here from the spuds fans on how it was such a fluke or some bullcrap like that. But what they need to face is that thier team is able to be beat!! Jan 21st will be another good match up for JV for them against Hibbing they(the spuds) just might lose another one.

can anyone tellme the shots on goal for the spuds and Warroad?
thanks

Shots Warroad vs. Moorhead JV Game

Post by 1hockeyluver » Sun Jan 16, 2005 2:03 pm

Moorhead outshot the Warriors JV 37-22. Goaltender Tyler Potts was huge just like his fellow 'tender Mark Thiele who stifled the Spuds Varsity.

Warroad scored first on a 5-on-3 early in the 2nd and nearly scored again hitting the post on the ensuing 5-on-4. Moorhead was very chippy when the game wasn't going their way and paid the price on the Warrior's first goal.

Moorhead scored w/ only 2:40 left in the game on a nice play. Moments later Jimmy Gabriel scored on a breakaway for the Warriors slipping one in the 5-hole with a couple minutes left. Moorhead put on a flurry pulling the goalie but a great blocked shot by Mohrbacher ended the Spuds reign.

A great performance by the Warrior's ending the state's longest winning streak at any level I'm sure.

WOW , Warroad is the first team Mhd has played to use seniors. I guess Warroad does not have a junior gold program?

Moorhead has been beaten by Fargo as well, and dropped down varisty players, along with playing a few people for 6 periods.
<img src="http://www.lotrforums.com/forum/uploads ...

Warroad @ Hibbing 12/10/04

Post by 1hockeyluver » Mon Jan 24, 2005 12:55 pm

Contrary to Hibbing' belief, they did outshoot Warroad back in December, like 34-18. "They took it to Warroad" is incorrect.

First off, Hibbing is lucky the game didn't go into OT because Warroad kept the puck in Hibbing's zone the final 2:00 but couldn't knock one home. They outshot Hibbing 6-1 the last few minutes and were buzzing.

The only senior player playing was Jimmy Gabriel since he was a transfer and had to play the first 13 games on JV before seeing Varsity action.

Jr. goalie Tyler Potts showed Hibbing what he showed Moorhead .. exceptional 'tending. He only played periods 1 & 2 then freshman Jordan Bengtson played the 3rd also not letting one in. That was also only his 2nd period of the season since Warroad has 3 goaltenders at JV level.

Warroad has since gone 9-1-0 with the lone loss to EGF by a 1-0 tilt.
