Cheapest Teams

Post by BDS »

What teams do you feel are the cheapsest? In my opinion I would have to say that Osseo MG are pretty cheap. That #10 is a total basket case along with a few other players.

Osseo <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /devil.gif ALT=":evil"> wins the title outright. I don't have any idea who takes 2nd place.

I agree Osseo wins. I would go with Wessys boys #2. There good for a few fights a game. Brookings SD is a pretty cheap team too.

Brookings

I didn't think Brookings was that cheap besides #10 he was a hack and a wack job no problem getting him off his game.

I would have to say, the cheap teams of this year are nothing compared to the cheap teams from 2 - 5 years ago. And no HEP is not the reason!

I do not think Osseo is that cheap, head cases, yes but I think my vote would have to go to Moorhead. I watched them take out 3 players off of one team. Two broken arms, and a dislocated shoulder.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p074.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... troll21 at: 2/2/05 10:17 am

I would agree but not from a slash or hit from behind.

Moorhead

Post by BDS »

The kid that did that from Moorhead was soon kicked off the team. Moorhead plays pretty clean. They know how to get on people's cases though. They got three kids from Osseo kicked out just by talking to them and then the players relaliated.

Champlin Park has only 6 out of a possible 19 fairplay points.

I would never judge a team by the HEP Points.

I think HEP points are a minor indicator of how cheap a team is. HEP points do not tell the whole story though.

If you loose your spot in the playoffs because you lost too many Goody <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D"> points you will start seeing the picture. Besides the cheapest team is the team that gets the most penalties, not the team that gets blamed with getting away with it. Your just digging for worms if you think otherwise.

A hockey game and position in standings should be determined on the ice and not by a third party(MN Hockey).

If you miss playoff because of the goody point<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D"> you already missed the picture!

The cheapest team is not always the team that has the most penalties. We both know how ref's judge a team.

Let the worms out!<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

Life is not always fair. Those that play by the rules have the best chance. Those that whine <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/eyes.gif ALT=":rolleyes"> about it are always the biggest losers.

In the past you could always discipline a player but it was hard to discipline an entire team for bad behavior. HEP gives MN Hockey the tools to do so. If your a good boy playing for a good team you should not be worried.

FYI: the refs can not take away a HEP point. They just call the game as always and let the chips fall as they may.

Not to say they are bad or cheap, its just that Osseo to hockey lessons from this guy, so all they know how to do is slash!

You wouldn't think to look at him, but he was famous long ago

I think that EP was pretty cheap this year. WBL for once hasn't been cheap, Lakeville can get chippy too. Moorehead isn't the most saintly of all teams.

If the officiating is consistant from District to District that would help.

The other problem is gutless officials who call continuous coincidental penalties. Hey official - get a clue and start calling penalties on the players acting up, don't wuss out and send one from each team unless they are both at fault.

worst call ever

Post by Northboy26 »

the worst call I have ever seen was in bantams when a ref called a high stick after a goal and revoked a goal. Now that i think of it theres tones more bad calls i can remember, too many to post<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol">
