Hermantown vs. Greenway

Post by Zamboni Guy » Thu Dec 21, 2006 12:10 pm

The Hermantown Hawks are facing off against the Greenway Raiders tonight (Thursday, December 21st) at 7:30 PM at Hermantown Arena. It is a match-up of two Section 7A teams, since Greenway dropped from AA. Hermantown is coming off of a hard-fought overtime road win over Virginia-MIB, while Greenway last took the ice on Saturday in an 8-2 loss to the Warroad Warriors. Greenway has been preparing all week for the Hawks while Hermantown could suffer an emotional let-down after the big win on Tuesday. Thoughts and predictions on this game?

I'm going to give this one to Hermantown. Those boys are playing with a lot of emotion right now. Look for the Leblanc Schmidt Christensen line to come up big. I'm not taking anything away from the Raiders, after their poor season last year they have suprised a lot of people. I'm looking forward to see what they bring to the ice.

I like the Hawks in this one, and probably big. I don't think Greenway has the depth this year to skate with Hermantown. LeBlanc will probably end up with 4 or more points tonight. It is true that they are coming off of an emotional overtime win over Virginia-MIB, but I see no let down coming, especially at home. Hawks in a rout.

Hermantown - 7
Greenway - 2

I dont think the Hawks should have a problem with Greenway. Hermantown 7 Greenway 1.

Kudos to Hockey Shananigans who correctly predicted the final of this game. Image Image I thought that the Raiders would be able to pop in one more.
