Centennial vs. Duluth East 12/21

Post by Zamboni Guy »

The Duluth East Greyhounds are traveling down I-35 tonight (Thursday, December 21st) to take on the Centennial Cougars. Duluth East is ranked 7th in the State in Class AA and is coming off of a 3-0 win over Apple Valley on Tuesday. Centennial is unranked in the latest Let's Play Hockey rankings and is coming off of a 4-3 loss to White Bear Lake on Tuesday. Has the makings of a possible upset win for the Cougars. Thoughts or predictions?

3-1 East wins

East moves the puck too well to be stopped for a whole game...backed with great goaltending. Cent has t o come out with a fire under there ass to win this one.

Any word on if this game is still on with the threat of bad weather in the cities area? East would have had to leave Duluth by now. :?

Wow! I am suprised at this result. I am very interested to hear a game summary from someone who was at the game. Great win for the Cougars!

Centennial dominated from the start of the game taking a 2-0 lead after 1. Then increased the lead to 3-0 before DE got there first one. 3-2 with about 4 left and Centennial put in the clincher to make it 4-2....the last hockey season for the city of Centennial explain that one?

I'm not that surprised. The Cougars are a sophomore-laden team which will just get better as the season progresses.

Centennial is young and very talented. I think a lot of people counted Centennial out after their flat performance against Roseville. They also have a bantam named Lovick that will be making noise next year.

I'm not that surprised that Lee is much wiser than the hordes of 7AA supremists who fell off their egos last night. I hope nobody got hurt.

Good luck at the Schwan's Cup Lee, lets hope for a rematch on the 28th at 8:45 PM!
