Apple Valley @ Rosemount

Post by HShockeywatcher » Wed Jan 03, 2007 3:27 pm

Apple Valley (5-5-1) has a shutout loss to Hibbing this year. Rosemount (4-7) is on a 3-game losing streak. They are 4th and 5th respectively in the Lake Conference Standings. The winner tonight will be ahead of the other at the end of the night.

Well, neither team is very good here... Apple Valley has one pretty good player (#10) and I haven't seen Rosemount play.

I'll take AV...I guess...

Apple Valley is a better team and better coached (my opinion). AV 4 Rosemount 2.

i dont see either of these teams competing for the lake title, but i do believe apple valley is the better team. Rosemount's goalie situation doesnt make me feel confident.

THe way Rosemount gave Roseau a run for their money (Leading 3-2 with 8 min left in the 3rd), I'm gonna have to go with:

Rosemount 4

AV 2

AV's goalie had a rough time up north. He's played pretty well in conference though, see if he can get back into it. I don't know if Rosemount has someone who can stop Politz. Rosemount will need 1st line to produce and goalie to step up and play his game.

AV- 3
Rosemount- 1

Any more specifics? Who scored the goals?

How did Rosemount allow 5 goals in the third?

Final-
Rosemount 7
Apple Valley 5

Rosemount absolutely dominated this game. Although with the hic-cup in the 3rd they still out-skated, out-passed and out-shot the Eagles. I was in attendance for the first time since the Benilde game and the Irish looked pretty solid in my eyes. Morgan finally stepped up and played his role. The Irish had no problem stopping Politz although he is a fantastic player, great vision, great hands, speedy player. If rosemount can put together a SOLID 3 periods of hockey, they are definetly a threat.

morgan played decent

1 goal was a rebound that he couldn't find
1 was after he stopped a politz breakaway and nobody cleared the puck
2 were snipes up high
and one he misplayed the puck and it ended up on the doorstep

Rosemounts other goal was #3 Nick Budweg and Av's goals were Politz, Zimmer (2), and Patichak (2).
