Unfortunate but True
Hey Big Red, "Being a goalie is by far the toughest position mentally" Thank you for your post i thought it was great. I can't agree more, and you coment about goaltenders general intelegence level, i would agree there also. It almost always seems that they are very intelectual but somewha...

By organized i mean a team that is registered and plays in a league. By shinny i mean exactly what it is deffined as (in the United States and Canada, an informal game) More or less a pick up game with no refs coaches or true teams except for the ones picked at the start of the game at that time. ex...

I've seen alot of great hockey players and something i have noticed about these players is that there not having fun anymore. I remember playing on the out door rinks or skating after hours doing anything i could to be on the ice and people used to call us RINK RATS. Now alot of people seem to be on...

goaltending in the roseau game
Hockey 112 i have a hard time agreeing with you on the issue of roseau's goaltending being at it's weakest that game. I will give you the reasurance that i too believe that roseau's goaltender is good but i will also say that crookstons offense is also good. So was it really a bad game for roseau's ...

outhustled
Thanks for the reply hockeyperson, but i still have a tough time understanding how EGF could outhustle and not have enough control of the game to close the gap on shots. well hopefully i'll be able to catch the next time these two teams play. If all this hype about EGF is real it ought to be a good ...

the east grand girls out played crookston. but lost 4-2
I don't mean to pick at something thats done and gone but I was wondering if EGF really did out play Crookston. I simply ask because when talking to some people from town I heard that EGF was outshot nearly 2:1. If anyone can prove or disprove that please do.

warroad has a very good 14U goalie comming up and Morgan piper is good, Story has very good talent from there also. several good players on that team i can't name right now. EGF has some young ones in scanlan, and hedlund, several others could be good. Roseau- they're the rink rats most of there you...

Roseau VS. Crookston
I'm gonna have to say that the true teams to beat in this section right now are roseau and warroad both of which are extreemly close as for crookston, that all depends on what team shows up to play. They may not have lost many players last year but it cetainly looks like quite a few of there players...

WOW, I would like to applaud WARROAD and ROSEAU on one heck of a weekend against HM and EP. Not that i would say i am to terribly suprised about the turn out this weekend. Now i'm looking forward to see if crookston can compete with roseau on friday. I wonder if we will see the team that played warr...

goaltneding is huge
I couldn't agree with GOCARDS1 more. After watching martin play i thought maybe crookston was without hope for the rest of the season but jennifer myer seemed to step up nicely. I also heard though that Martin posted a 20 save shutout against North Metro and just had a rough game against warroad. :s...

Warroad 7 crookston 3
Well i saw a good warroad team but i sure hope that wasn't crookston's best otherwise they're in some serious trouble. Tonight in my eyes was a prime example of a failure of a team. It all seemed to start from the net out and the girls lost hope. My thoughts they might need someone coaching those go...

Great coaches. and What makes them so good.
I've seen some recent posts that seem to suggest that coaches are awful and have no heart or respect for other opponents and was wondering if there are any out there that are worth knowing. I was also wondering if there are any worth mentioning what qualities do they posses to make them so good.

who is willing to skate til there legs fall off
Hockey 112, I couldn't agree with you more on the point you made about the winner will be the one who is willing to skate til there legs fall off. That in fact is the point i tried to make in my post and i do apologize for any misunderstanding. As for the so called unexperienced i mearly said that s...

2007 Section 8 champs
I think section 8 may be one of the toughest in the state and seems to produce severall good teams such as Roseau, Warroad, Crookston, TRF, and East Grand Forks. Putting all talk of recruiting and summer time cheating behind i feel that what it will boil down to is the dedication and hard work of th...

Good goalie camp at a good price
I know it's tough to find good camps for kids wanting to play goal without paying an arm and a leg but there are a few. My recomendation is try the E.G.F. goalie camp which is held in june. It's headed by karl goehring (former UND star and NHL player) He has a very hands on camp there with several o...
