Minnesota Ice Cats 16's, and 19's. Both teams loaded with talent! Very fun to watch. Both teams have many players that are going to NY for National Camp final phase.

After recovering from the sticker shock of having to pay to enter the "festival", and parking a half of a mile from the arena, I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised with how it all was run. They did a very good job in evaluating the talent, and getting the top talent to phase III. A...

Interesting the difference in how sections 4 and 5 were run. There were no goalie specific evaluations in 5, and all of the scrimmage sessions were 5 on 5. You can put many different tryout processes together, but still the "cream should rise to the top" no matter what process is in place....

Three 1.5 hour sessions with about 45 minutes of drills in the first session, culminating with scrimmaging for the remainder of the first...

Unfortunately, politics continues to play a role in all avenues of our lives, whether it's sports, band, or the debate team, and progresses into our adult lives in everything from perception, to promotions! My suggestion is to try and sit down with the coach or coaches, and be up front with them abo...

Hansonbrother.....The Northwest Suburban conference has consistantly been considered one of the toughest conferences in the state. Rarely can you take a night off even against the so called "bottom dwellers." No question that these were 2 of the biggest upsets, but if you saw the games, th...

To simply blow a coach out of the water because they have a kid on the team might be one of the most short sighted things I have ever heard of! There are countless numbers of coaches out there with incredible backgrounds, knowledge, and quality reputations that have coached, and are currently coachi...

Parents......take off the rose colored glasses!! If you think for one minute that your son or daughter will never ever get involved in "anything like that", you are truly fooling yourself. Athletes are no different than theater kids...they still need to understand that every choice they ma...

There was an article in Elk Rivers local paper sometime around Thanksgiving, with a picture showing her signing her NLI. This is a tremendous opportunity for Monique. I am confident that she will be a great addition to the UCONN program! Congrats to Mo and her family! :D
