I don't think Edina will be as bad as everyone thinks they will be. Of course they are losing their key players. But their are still a lot of young players on that team including 12 returning players. 7 forwards will be returning including Sit and Taft who have been in the shadows of the senior clas...

They lost their best player before the season started and I don't think many people realized how much he meant to the team. He wasn't only the best player in the state but he was the leader of the team on and off the ice. If he would have played this season I believe Edina would have lived up to the...

Re: Edina

People seem to have forgotten that a few years ago Edina hockey looked like a thing of the past. They had been passed by their neighbors Minnetonka, Wayzata & Eden Prairie. No state appearances for 6 years. Now they have been in it 3 straight. Their JV team is very good. Giles is a very good co...

Edina had 58 shots after the 3rd period. I'm guessing they had at least 5 or 6 in OT also. All that meaning Fons is one hell of a goalie. 58?? The announcers said that it was around 38-17 going into the OT period. I watched the game and it didn't seem like nearly 60 shots on goal! shots were 59 to ...

Brenden Baker and Matt Van Voorhis were out for Edina and that is their top defensive line so looks like Edina could still pull through with key players missing.

Matt Van Voorhis has came up real big for Edina. Especially just this weekend with only four defense for edina with both Regan and Heck out of the lineup with injuries.

The place was packed during this game it was close to being sold out. I would say around 3500 people at the game. Braemar can fit around 4000 people.

Brenden Baker is one of the most talented defensemen in the state. When it comes to playing in his own zone he very very rarley makes a mistake. He is the most solid defensemen in the state when it comes to playing defensively.

Edina is going to miss Budish a lot this season. I still think they have easily enough talent to win this section without Budish. It will be a lot more difficult but I think they can still pull it off.

Hill Murray is the front runner going in. They have a strong group of talented players that are evolving and have greater depth than Edina. Their coach seems to get more out of his players and utilizes them more effectively. However, losing Sova and Dolan will be hard to make up. Johnson and compan...
