Gump... did that team seriously make state? They did! Knocking off, leaving Duluth Central, Duluth East, Andover, and Cambridge-Isanti in their wake. Anoka was the #9 seed. According to MSHSL they have seven 9th graders on their roster (from a high school of 2,500). There must be a story there...

Gotta love sub-.500 teams that make it to state and even end up in the consolation final. That being said.... Bears 4, Panthers 1.

Next weekend, my sentimental favorite will be the 6-24 Anoka Tornadoes girls basketball team. A team that was 2-24 as of the end of February!
