I believe he moved close to the school and is living with a family that might be a booster club memberI see your point. Maybe he actually transferred for academic reasons. It's likely that Providence Academy has better academics than his previous school, was it Cambridge?

Ive seen the three 98 oamha kids play and they are better than some of the kids mn picked. BigMac : Ive seen none of the oamha kids play and I know they dont even scratch the surface when it comes to comparing to MINNESOTA KIDS. How many Olympians has oamha racked up? I really think its spelled Oma...

Re: Open enrollment happening at the youth hockey level
The other part ... IMHO ... is to avoid a situation where you would have the entire (For Example Purposes Only) 2000 machine team skating in Edina. Not saying that would have happened ... just sayin' it could have. No and this would never be the case at a red/white school either

This thread is quite entertaining  With the section semi's and final's in Duluth most of the section teams are not within 100 miles. Do you think that if the games were held in say Super Rink or St Cloud and 6 of 9 teams had to possibly travel 115-160 miles that they wouldn't complain? Please k...

As for the Eagan goal tender, he left simply because he didnt want to be apart of the crap here, and just wanted to play hockey, he especially wanted to get away from certain kids on the team. He didn't care who was coming in to coach, he just wanted out! Really? Didn't have anything to do with the...

Show me where I said it was right.... Ever been passed over for a job because somebody else had some type of connection? Not right but does happen. I guess when the politics of HS sports is your big concern in life.....well good luck to you. I guess if somebody has to tell you that it's pretty class...

Wow ther comparison of bb to hockey......really like comparing apples to handgranades. I can only imagine what level you are watching when you talk about how boring and slow baseball is. It must be like comparing the old house league (now B2 since house leagues are gone) to the A level in hockey. My...

I will take the Spring Lake Park kid. Huge upside...has played very little hockey. He has dominated kids from the high profile AAA teams for the past two years while playing on a lesser AAA team. I don't get excited about freshman scoring, but the SLP kid could easily play at Shattuck or at any of ...

Re: YHH: Region Preview and Predictions
Last year D3 was in with D6 & D5. They have it on a rotation, so should it always be a fixed setup for regions?YouthHockeyHub wrote:
MN Hockey needs to realign D3 into the West. The balance of power is way off...I'm probably not chartering new territory here.

Materials for teaching Checking
With these latest incidents out there and the discussions that have followed (here and I'm sure at every rink in MN), it is very evident that players are either being taught how to check/take a check incorrectly or not at all. With the vast knowledge on this forum (little scared about that comment) ...

MN Hockey IS going to an A and AA system for bantams and pee wees next year. (2012-20120 It will apply to the district and state tourneys. Otherwise A and AA teams will play a straight A schedule. While this sounds like a great idea, what do you do with associations that, while their school populati...
