So with all the tournament add ons and the players from northern Mn, southern Mn, and Wiscconsin that are on the roster.... Who is left that actually goes to the Blades 2000 practices? The parents and players that go to practice must love this set up. Do these SO CALLED rostered players just cover ...

Re: 1st year squirts
We finished with mites and are looking forward to squirts next year. I'm curious about the difference in the number of practices and games and the cost of squirts compared to mites. Thanks in advance for any responses. CRMH -- There's a bunch of good information for you on the CRYHA website. Just c...

GOYBS, you are correct. It is capitalism in action. Folks are currently a little worked up because of the recent explosion in participation, which has caused a 'building boom' of AAA programs. We can all relax a little, it will eventually reach an equilibrium (not this year, probably not next year)...

One MN team in the 96 level of the Chi-Town Shuffle, da Blades, and the other teams don't include a lot of familiar names from previous Invite Meltdowns. Someone is asking for Warrior Cup schedules. Is that the same weekend as the Invite Meltdown? I just looked at the Warrior Cup Web site (Magician...

... Maybe only co-op at A and have the Bs stay in their community association. That would be nice if each association has enough skaters. Once the associations co-op at an A level, one association or the other often needs to combine at the B level(s) as well to field enough skaters. Each associatio...

As far as I know the 99 Machine is in the Warrior tourney. Here it is, right from their webpage: ,“The Machine” quickly became one of the top '96 teams in North America. They have made it to the championship game of every '96 tournament they have ever played in both in the US and Canada. They have ...

Actually, 2 kids are playing in their Winter program. Any other shots?? No other shots -- at least your honest. Just clarifying that there is a distinction between the competitive AAA environment, and the winter programs which are well run, and with less drama than comes with some associations. If ...

I have several friends who have had their kids go to the program and a couple are still there. Their feedback to me is that it can be a little over the top, especially for the young kids. Bernie comes at the parents pretty hard and even wants the parents to sign a form saying their kids will not pa...

I disagree that the most penalized players are the slowest on the team, Not something I said. Maybe you have threads confused ... I haven't said anything about penalties ... Getting the last word in doesn't mean you are right, it just means no one else has the time or energy to correct you any long...

Perhaps you should have taken that advice instead of sending your time trolling boards like these, mis-leading folks, making up 'facts' which aren't facts at all. I have more than enough kids playing hockey and more than enough knowledge of the game of hockey, could have swore that's what you start...

wpiia you are hard to follow, one post you say 12 month age groups s the only answer then you say move the date to June, Flip Flop? Jump on a train and stay on it. Just so we can all stop wasting our time are you for calendar year hockey or simply moving the age cutoff back one month to June? WPIIA...

I propose this thread be CHOICE/FIRE discussion free. Whether you mean to bash or brag I think all discussion that references those two organizations remain in their own threads. No offense intended to either program, they are different and deserve their own forum for conversation. Amen to that.. t...

Two years ago I posted some squirt stuff and got flamed from a few posters that the only squirt talk allowed here was Squirt A leading up to the Fargo tournament and Pee Wee and Bantam A ruled the board. Now it seems Squirts, some Mites, Pee Wee B1 and even Bantam B1 are the more active threads. Ti...

No child, without help from a parent, ever asked to go play with the Fire. One thing missing from this discussion is that community based youth hockey associations depend entirely on volunteers to build and maintain their organizations. Potentially it's the parents the assocations need to continue ...

OK, I am really confused here. Have to admit that people who know me will not be shocked by that admission. Why would a district want to restrict who teams in their district can play? Are people like MM and the Fire that big of a threat or is it a case of people not wanting to change? If the Fire t...

Have any of you actually been down in the minor officials box or ice level area? If the officials were to call penalties each time players were using profanity, there would be no players left on the ice. Gets worse each season.. And worse yet at the high school level. Re: Mite roster opinions
Our association is fielding a D mite team ( first time alone ) with a whopping 17 player roster. 9 are D mite caliber, 3 would be C mite standouts, 3 would be average C mite players, and 2 would be low C mite to B + type players. We are a small association wich explains the wide range in talent. He...

Re: Coaches, does this make sense?
A co-worker of mine told me today about her son's hockey team. They have to dress up to show up to the arena, walk in the door, go to the locker room then change into sweats to do pregame stretching :) her son's in 6th grade :) is it just me or is this comical? is this a bit overkill. I understand ...
