Luckily he had made the team long before those stupid try-outs happened. LOL! Just enough gas to start the flames roaring higher again. Very nice. I do have a question for those who think the PWA teams are essentially known before tryouts (and I'm not disagreeing). What do you do if you've recently...

SD Guy,

How many people would have ever seen the article but for you putting up a link? Feel better now?

I agree with your take on their literary talent. The image of 10 year olds salivating to avenge a loss... whew... heady stuff.

Should MH hold a special meeting on the new rule? Would those with concerns show up? An idea has been proposed to simplify the rule and at lesat one individual has called for a special meeting. Should MH hold a special meeting on the new rule? Yes. It would be an opportunity for those who drafted i...

I personally would love to see these two co-op at high school level, the merge last year was a great thing at both bantam a and peewee a, I can speak from participating there, my friends on others were pleased but there are always some of course who were not and most of that reason is their kid did...

jancze, Your original question was along the lines of whether the time is coming when kids forego winter hockey, and play summer hockey instead on teams of their choosing. I'd say that may be the case for a few, but it's not likely as a trend. Kids will more likely choose to skate year-round, rather...

It seems like a round about way for MM to get a year round team at the 1999 level. Not sure why this would really surprise any one. I'm surprised it took this long. Someone may want to let the local associations and Squirt coaches know that they are going to be playing without some of their best pl...

Think about the question posed above for a second. "Why is there an 8 year old that can't stop both ways or crossover backwards?" Are we saying that kids need to be proficient skaters by the age of 8 or they should simply forget the sport of hockey? What if a kid doesn't start skating in ...

Re: A question for Mite parents

What expectations do you have for your 5-8 year old's coach? My son is almost 6 and this year I hope his coach will continue to work on skating but will also try to begin to teach him some passing and stick handling.
