USA Hockey published a report on a trip made to Russia. It is easy to find and important to read in its entirety, rather than having someone pick and choose sound bites for you to suit their own needs. Playing games at 13 was NOT part of that report. From the report: Summary of game to practice rat...

Currently there are no schools with Bantam B teams. Are you suggesting one be allowed but not others? If one school is allowed to have a Bantam B team do you suppose other schools may want to do the same in the future? Do you suppose if several private schools had Bantam B teams that they might ask...

Maybe the 97 Bulldogs will be competitive at the next tourney. Let the coach and the Min/Wis League know that you are concerned. But beware, will you be happy when they bring in a few ringers and those 3 to 5 "competitive" players end up with less ice time? Make the best out of this, keep...

From this and other threads, most of you know I favor a change to the current rule. That said, the proposed rule only muddies the water further. Bad move. The proposed rule looks like a half-hearted attempt by MH to do "something" rather than take a firm stance one way or the other. Take a...

Remember, the kids? Don't argue that kids will somehow be freeloaders for the community they would play for....

Hey NHL'er, You're off your rocker. This is an absolutely terrible idea. Youth Hockey is Squirt, PeeWee and Bantam and then comes high school. High School offers open enrollment youth hockey should not. What proves you're not in touch with the majority is your comment regarding benefits the majorit...

Is the 2000 Machine team for real? They beat the 99 Monopoly and the 99 CCM Capitals or are these teams not realy AAA teams? Jerry, Based on your post it will be hard for you to be objective, BUT... You don't have to pay $4,500 plus to play on a legit AAA team. On the flip-side, there are families that pay $10,000 plus. Where to start??? North Branch is not a community that as a whole supports youth hockey. They've been trying to get public/city help to build an arena for years (quite literally, decades). There's no reason to think the Vikings will compete within D10 any time in the near future without merging. The...
