USA Hockey published a report on a trip made to Russia. It is easy to find and important to read in its entirety, rather than having someone pick and choose sound bites for you to suit their own needs. Playing games at 13 was NOT part of that report. From the report: Summary of game to practice rat...

Currently there are no schools with Bantam B teams. Are you suggesting one be allowed but not others? If one school is allowed to have a Bantam B team do you suppose other schools may want to do the same in the future? Do you suppose if several private schools had Bantam B teams that they might ask...

Can anyone point out some examples open enrollment creating freshman all-star teams in other sports? Any examples of brand new powerhouses where kids are open enrolling to the extent that CS portrayed? There must be quite a few based on the logic on this forum. Name the sport, teams, and where the ...

Option A: Play where you live. Period. We get your arguments. Option B: Let kids play where they go to school. Thoughts as follows: Let kids play with their classmates. More fun for the kids. Remember, the kids? Don't argue that kids will somehow be freeloaders for the community they would play for....

Hey NHL'er, You're off your rocker. This is an absolutely terrible idea. Youth Hockey is Squirt, PeeWee and Bantam and then comes high school. High School offers open enrollment youth hockey should not. What proves you're not in touch with the majority is your comment regarding benefits the majorit...

Re: 2000 Machine
Is the 2000 Machine team for real? They beat the 99 Monopoly and the 99 CCM Capitals or are these teams not realy AAA teams? Help me if I am confused, but don't you have to play a team in order to beat them? I can assure you that the 99 monopoly is really a AAA team. Skillguy -- The 2000 Machine pl...

Jerry, Based on your post it will be hard for you to be objective, BUT... You don't have to pay $4,500 plus to play on a legit AAA team. On the flip-side, there are families that pay $10,000 plus. Pick your level of entertainment and perceived value. I know this will come as a shock to you, but some...

3GW, If the intent of the alliance is to ensure more competitive tournaments to attract teams from outside the metro, how do you explain inclusion of an unproven first year club like the Monopoly? Pit the Machine vs. the Monopoly and you might end up with some pretty lop-sided games even within the ...

Cowboy, I agree with questioning whether NB should be building an outdoor rink in Stacy. You're obviously well versed on dollar figures and phases, so can I assume you're part of that association? Regardless, your points are well taken. Building an outdoor rink in Stacy seems to me to be an attempt ...

News reporter: You said $150 only a brief time ago, correct? Sen. Dodd: I stand corrected,,, $75 it is. It was a simple error. I've revisited the issue, and Geithner told me to throw something along those lines in there... No, I'm not working in the financial sector -- and the math skills are okay, ...

Where to start??? North Branch is not a community that as a whole supports youth hockey. They've been trying to get public/city help to build an arena for years (quite literally, decades). There's no reason to think the Vikings will compete within D10 any time in the near future without merging. The...
