They missed a grand opportunity they could of had. Why not play it on Lake Superior in one of those empty ship lanes (like what the Irvin is docked in, Duluthians on here know what i'm talking about)....they are right down the road from the DECC as well. At the very least put this into consideration...

Convince UNO to move into the WCHA...I think that would help their recruiting out too. That would put 12 teams into the WCHA.

Also Alabama-Huntsville needs a place to go too.

I heard BSU's entry into the WCHA is likely a no-go this time around because no one else besides them got their paperwork in. I did hear something about a second date or extension in hopes of getting one or more other intersted parties to finish their homework. I sure hope this isnt true, we are ta...

Geographically speaking no, but trying to get a school to start up a hockey program that doesnt even have a D3 team right now and want them in the WCHA of all conferences? This would have been great for the CHA had it occurred 5 years back. I'm just saying that I would hate to see Bemidji get denied...

this team doesnt even have a D3 team....it would be great to see it but very unrealistic I think...I would rather see him talking to Alabama-Huntsville right now and maybe getting that 12th team into the WCHA

You are right defense, it would be nice tho if the NCAA could step in to help keep some of these programs around in Div. 1 hockey.

Air Force has expressed that they have no interest in going to the WCHA. Probably cuz they dont wanna compete in such a good conference. I don't agree at all with a Colorado team being in the AHA. Props to Bemidji, a job well done. Watching these games it didnt even look like a miracle that they won...

The Dogs play much better on the smaller ice sheet than they do the Olympic size...gotta give that edge to UMD. However, Kangas has played better late. Stalock had a great series against CC I'll take Stalock over Kangas. If UMD shuts down Stoa they will move on. I see UMD's defense being able to do ...

What was with Westin's little temper tantrum there on that scrum in front of the Hibbing net? kicking????

He was flopping like a crappie out of water

Good game thus far....needless to say inconsistent reffing both ways...they have lost control of that aspect of the game

bluelineenvy......any team can beat any team on any given night...it all depends on who shows up to play 51 minutes of hockey

I wouldnt say Virginia is underrated either, i can guarantee tho if hibbing and virginia meet up again, there will be no 7-1 score

Correction....Greenway got seeded 5th, and so what team are you from hockeyrinkrat?

This is the seeding that I expected. I see no problem whatsoever with them.

And you say IF Silver Bay, Ely, or Two Harbors had started winning towards the end.....big two letter word in there buddy....IF

hshckfan08...even the state of hockey, the DECC is probably considered a large arena...there really isnt too many arenas that hold 5000+....Xcel, Mariucci, Decc, National Hockey Center, Alltel Center (benefit of the doubt there) anyways you gotta always take the packed arena...i loved Ely, the Hippo...

That kid from St. Paul Johnson a few years back comes to mind...forget his name tho

From my neck of the woods, Section 7A graduated a couple big boys last year by the names of Corrin (I'Falls) and Pernu (Eveleth-Gilbert)...they were both in the 6'6" region

hshckfan08....the DECC can definitely be considered a large arena even in the state of hockey, you could probably count on your fingers how many 5000+ arenas there are....DECC, Xcel, St. Coud, Alltel (benefit of the doubt), Mariucci A packed arena is always by far better, although I will say the DEC...

Rocketwrister- I think you named a number of reasons why this program is on a drastic decline. Since 2005 Eveleth has had 3 different head coaches. One coach sticks around and teaches his ways of the sport and then he's gone and someone else comes in and teaches something completely different. How a...
