Happyhockey fan, PeeWee A, 2 Bantam A & 2 High School State Titles. How many others have done that? It's pretty impressive. The original post said that the Edina class of Budish-Everson-Gaarder-Lee-others didn't win anything. Now we're counting PW and Bantam titles? I think you'll see they won ...

We used to have 160 or so teams and had 1 class, section 1 at one time had 28 teams and no section had less than 15. They just gave the top few seeds byes into the quarterfinals, one year we didn't get as good of a seed as usual and played a playoff game, a regular season game then went back to the...

just got home from the highschool game. Non-of the F.L. kids wore orange maybe that's why we lost. [My kid would have been too small, slow, didn't shoot hard enough, and was too ugly for the orange] Point is it is not a sprint. Take a look in four years. Then in another four years then reread your p...

I have a small kid and as for this topic I don't care either way what happens. But I have to wonder where the research is that suggests that there will be more injury (bantam level and beyond) as a result. And also, I would think that USA hockey cares whether or not we can be physical and compete ag...

You can teach them all you want in squirts and pee-wees to keep their heads up, but for most kids, until they get hit with their head down, they wont do it. When that happens for the first time at the bantam level, kids are going to get seriously hurt Case in point: Eric Lindros. I dont think it wa...

HShockeywatcher - Congrats to Eagan for beating EP

I do really mean that.

And for the record I certainly wasn't making fun of anyone that got hurt from a flying puck. So next time read more carefully and direct your accusations at the right source.

phew... that was closer than the score. It was? Eh...I didn't think it was that close. There was no score in the first and it was 1-0 after 2 but EP really controlled play. At no point did I think Moorhead would win. It was really somewhat resemblant of the state game in 2009. Kinda close but it al...

Nuff said...    Ok whatever I'm not gonna get all up in arms about it, but the reason Eagan took penalties is cause EP was skating circles around Eagan. You discredit the LVN loss to a hot goalie but that's exactly what this was for EP. Nobody sees Eagan as a serious state ti...

EP has the capability to take apart anyone in the state with their offensive game - they have proved that. Unfortunately, the defense and goal tending, as star ladened and as deep as they are, have had their hands full. They have shown they are prone to breaking down for periods at a time during a g...

Roseau has beaten Moorhead and Bemidji has tied them. Maybe 8AA is deeper than folks have given them credit! I realize one game does not a season make, but contrary to a lot of peoples feelings, there is still some good hockey teams north of St. Cloud. You can NEVER EVER count out the north. I've s...

Interesting Karl, that you didnt seem to even consider that Eagan might beat EP?? Yes he did...he said that they'd be potentionally difficult. I am a bit surprised (who outside the Eagan faithful isn't?), but I definitely thought it was within the realm of possibility--I don't even think it's the m...

brandy... I've heard this complaint before and I don't think it's that big of a deal... If they're soliciting comments and get some positive feedback, good for them... if they get a resounding thud, then they know they've got to work harder :)

Valley won that period. They've got a great shot if they can keep the mistakes to a minimum. Wayzata scored only because Valley broke down and gave up a 3-1.
