Early on, late birth years are usually at a disadvantage physically since tehy may indeed be close to a year younger than those they are playing against. I would much rather have my skater play "up", ie against older and better competition. They might struggle earler on, but each year whe...

There are alot of 1st year Bantams that should be represented on this thread its just that they may not play for a highly ranked team or don't have the exposure like others do that is why this forum exists ... believe me top talent kids don't get missed at the second year bantam level... there is a...

Montoya: The reason is likely to play better competition. I guess I hadn't noticed Crow River finishing many of their D5 games with the clock running. The D6 boys are going to love going to NP and watching the clock run at the end of games. I hear that happens alot at the PW and Bant. levels with o...

Interesting that OMG and Wayzata are in opposite pools in more than one level for regions! Three of the regions have sleeper teams that can possibly do some damage in the tournaments. I would put Eagan, Apple Valley, Elk River, Moundsview, EGF, and Andover in this group. The South region is a littl...

Re: Bantam A-1st year players

There is a kid from the Northfield area that played 1st year Bantams last year as a 7th grader. Very strong defensemen with speed and great hands. He played for the high school program this year. Better keep your eyes to the south for some unknown talent. If you're talking about Scofield at Northfi...

I agree! There are a couple of teams going to Dist. 6 next

Most 95's are in 9th grade. I would look at the 95's who are in 8th grade that are making a impact on there Bantam teams. These are the kids to watch the next couple years. They have to play summer hockey with older kids and in school they are a year behind.. I agree! There are a couple teams movin...
