Yes they should merge, at least down to two programs. I have two St. Paul (public ) players, one at the HS level and one in the pipeline. Most parents and kids would support a merger I believe. It would be difficult from the standpoint of eliminating some varsity positions but the truth is I don't t...

Its great to see Minneapolis youth teams doing well for the first time in years...it really depends on how many of those kids are in the public system and if they stay there or not when they get to high school. As for being A instead of AA I'd say its fair based on the number of kids playing hockey,...

I don't think anyone should feel sorry for Edina they choose to go with two A Squirt teams which I applaud but the problem comes in with their B Squirt teams, Why wouldn't they just have two good B Squirt teams and have maybe two B2's and then have 8 C Squirts. From what I have seen in some of the ...

Another conference with changes. This seems to be mostly about other sports but it is kind of a shame with the conference getting better adding Minneapolis, for hockey, this year and Holy Angles next. I think this isn't going to help Breck's cause if they plan to stay single A. Being part of this co...

I'm not sure what the problem would be if any two teams from the same association face off in an actual game. It already happens often and the kids love to play against their friends; so what is the issue? Home game for both teams makes parent drivers happy... As for lopsided games (not ideal) or up...

East Metro AAA
I've got a mite kid and we are thinking about AAA tryouts this fall. We live in the East Metro. It seems like most of the quality programs are based in the western suburbs or the north metro. What quality programs do east metro families go to (District 2 area, Saint Paul, Woodbury, Sibley, areas etc...
