Re: 2021-22 Coaching Openings
Half the current team is reportedly from North, Farmington, Northfield, St Louis, etc. all of them allegedly paying the coach for extra training. Follow the money. The parent I’m talking about has apparently been orchestrating for years since his kids were in association. It didn’t just start this ...

Re: The Gentry Academy Thread
Every school (except yours, I guess) has a gym. Most don't have ice rinks. I don't believe you are well equipped for the future. My guess is that a few established high schools mimic Gentry. Bounced this off a couple people I trust and they concur. People can't have it both ways. Minnesota hockey c...

Who plays hockey at Hill-Murray "for the education"? Who plays basketball at Hopkins "for the education"? Who transfers to IMG Academy in Florida to play football "for the education"? Obviously, many college admissions offices like the U of Minnesota and Wisconsin are f...

Re: The Gentry Academy Thread
A little outdated...I did a some research a couple weeks ago. On February 8th - 106 of the team's 153 points were from Minnesota kids. 6 out of the top 7 scorers are from MN. Many of the kids that appear to be from out of state have family connections to Minnesota. Gentry is what you can kids are a...

Re: The Gentry Academy Thread
The one thing Gentry does have going for it is that there isn't much competition from privates on the east side...yes I realize it's a charter school but lets be real...it's essentially an alternative to Hill and CDH for kids who want to play hockey. The west side of the metro is saturated with priv...

Re: The Gentry Academy Thread
State of Hawkey/Fatcat Some of your comments are outdated . And others relate to their AAA teams, not Mshsl teams I think Gentry has been a Mshsl high school now for 3 years or so , so they know the rules and penalties .( Haven’t they also now converted from private to public charter? Someone could...

Re: The Gentry Academy Thread
Gentry was created for one reason and one reason only...a place for two boys to home school and play tier 1 hockey. Anyone who claims its for academics is either lying or extremely dense.

Stewart could be a NTDP guy next year so enjoy him while you can.
I'll admit that I was skeptical with him but in his short time at BSM he has made me a believer.

Final 4-1 EP over BSM , sogs about 35-25 EP controlled play most of game . Took advantage of PP. They had some puck luck too . Batchelder with 2. Hayes came thru with some big saves on quality Bsm opportunities . Marshall buried a nice snipe late in game . Other times , the RK missed the cage too o...

Re: AA Rankings for 2/7/21
They weren't in the top 15 last week, so you recall incorrectly. Thanks. Season so short we may not get a real good PS2 version. My hunch is there is a big advantage in rankings for those teams that play a weaker schedule. I doubt Lakeville South would have the same record if they played the...

My goodness 6AA is a meatgrinder. Add in Holy Angels, which isn't an easy out for an opposing team come playoff time. I'm going to predict whoever takes 6AA this season takes the state tourney....a team residing in 6AA has taken in 6 times since 2010...yeesh.

I am curious to see how Zach Hayes performs this year. He had a >90% save percentage while at Hopkins. Now he moves over to EP, where they have a solid top 4 D crew and 2 full returning forward lines \ I think Hayes is going to have a huge season, he put up good numbers backstopping subpar teams......

Hill Murray HMBH tweet yesterday said boys will have option of that or a gaiter. I have seen on several conference websites that schedule revisions have been made, and the teams are planning on playing games from Jan 14th or Jan 16th through March 13th. ( go to websites like metro east conference). 18 games. I have heard through the grapevine ( no confirmation) that BSM went to...
