Every school (except yours, I guess) has a gym. Most don't have ice rinks.

Re: The Gentry Academy Thread

Puck Thanks for the info. I think you answered many questions although I still am unclear on who is monitoring Gentry. You indicate MSHSL but give no person or position who is doing this. I would think it would be more of a Dept. of Education issue now that you're dipping into state coffers to run y...

Re: The Gentry Academy Thread

Puck8, you indicated that Gentry is one of the most, if not the most monitored schools in the state but you never educated people on who is doing that monitoring. Who, specifically, is doing that monitoring? The other question I have is the WIN time ice. With whom are the students working during tho...

Re: Tournament on tv

jg2112, since you appear to like to share intel from "your skater", what does she have to say about why her teammates Salscheider and Prater were missing the game vs Chisago Lakes yesterday?

Speaking of COVID jg2112, why don't you shed a little light on the Gentry girls situation relative to Hill or Hermantown boys? Your skater plays for the Gentry girls doesn't she?

Missing Gentry players

Who wants to tell the forum why Gentry was missing three top D and their goalie vs River Lakes yesterday.

Re: Tournament on tv

Let's address the elephant in the room. Gentry was playing yesterday vs. River Lakes without both Gazdik sisters, Prater and their top goalie Vance. What is the story?

Re: State Seeding Predictions

Speaking of missing players, does anyone know what happened to #8 from Warroad and #25 from Alexandria? Looks like #25 played the first two games for Alex and #8 not at all for Warriors this year. Somewhat conspicuous by their absence

Re: State Seeding Predictions

Chisago recently got smoked 7-1 at home by Gentry so no short straw for the Wildcats in the seedings. Warroad's only loss was at Gentry 3-1 after a five plus hour bus ride. Gentry went 1-1 vs South St Paul, a team that just lost to No St Paul, who lost to Visitation to prevent them from going winless.

Re: State Seeding Predictions

It appears as if P/H got the shaft tin the seedings. Not a strong regular season schedule but look what they did to Rapids when they played them. Anyway, more motivation for the Mirage.

Re: Section Winners and upsets

With respect to Breck you can say what you want about their schedule, but the bottom line is they've won once since Valentine's Day and have dropped eight straight since the resignation of Coach Persian and most of his staff. Doesn't look much like seeding material to me. Perhaps they miss the 250 +...

Re: Section Winners and upsets

The Mirage are legit and they have no control of their schedule in this Covid world. They have 9 players with 20 or more points and a solid tandem of goalies. Take them lightly at your peril.

Re: 4AA

Interesting question. Let's see how the rest of the regular season plays out. Right now Hill's only blemish is a 1-0 loss to Edina while Stillwater has 4-4 tie vs Forest Lake to mar an otherwise perfect record (incidentally a game in which the Ponies were down 4-0). With respect to the scenario that...

Huge game at the Rec Center in SLP tomorrow night. Carly Greene and the stout Knights D are working on streak of 7 consecutive shutout periods. Could be one of the best games of the season.

Moosepaw, how about a game report from Holy Family V. Edina? Looks like the Fire maybe had a little trouble coming out of the gate last night - shots 31-5 in the first. Is that accurate?

Moosepaw - How about a game report from Victoria last night? Looks like the Fire mustered 12 shots on goal. At least they out-penalized Gentry 4-1.
In Randy we trust. Looks like it will take a little longer for the recruits to "gel"

Re: Early Christmas Present: Boys State Hockey Tournament (Meeting Dec 3rd)

Absolutely ridiculous to try to start games by Jan 4th. We've been shut down for months and now we're going to try to cram a bunch of practices and a scrimmage or two around Christmas and New Year's. Also, what happened to the mandatory pause around Christmas earlier, wiping out all of the holiday t...
