This late in the summer will the new coach be from the broader community, rather than the school district?

Re: 2021-22 Coaching Openings

Any buzz on the Roseau front? Seems odd and a little concerning that there have been crickets so far. Still posted on Roseau's web site, along with a part-time activities director. May make it easier to put a package together. As a teacher in the district, Roseau could assign Lundbohm to the positi...

Re: A Third Class

I am a one class kind of guy but even I have to admit it's time for a 3rd class Recruiting is only going to get worse...Families are cutting deals in AAA hockey. Coaches are so smug today they don't even hide or deny the fact that they are recruiting. Parents are shopping their kids constantly and ...

Re: 2021-22 Coaching Openings

Probably a good time in the East timeline for Mike to step down. He and the Hounds have had a nearly 3 decade long run of being one of the top teams in the State. It will be interesting to see where the program goes under a new regime. Every one of us is replaceable. Mike did a great job, and left ...

Re: 2021-22 Coaching Openings

How much does compensation weigh in to these departures? Yes, I know some are performance based issues and others are tired of the stress and placating everybody. But when you look at other states, and their h.s. premier sports, coaches are compensated 10-30 times what the standard rate is in Minnes...

With GA and EP winning last night, Joe Cullen and Jackson Blake both achieved state titles, something their fathers fell short of. Could that lift the hex that appears to have been on the Spuds program?

OK, then why not have just one class for all other sports like basketball, football, baseball, swimming & diving etc? fair question. What is the justification for having 5 or 6 classes in HS Boys football? You are right. The direct comparison with other sports fails. If hockey want to keep up, ...

Yes,they are a low risk group.
