The Falls and D. Marshall need to figure something out... We're all left in the dark til playoffs. But, i guess then we wouldn't have much to argue about...

elliot knows i'll be at the tilt... It's a bold call on the upset. But the Falls should be extra prepared tonight due to some expert intel on the Jacks... Not sure if Uncle Dean will show up, hopefully he'll meet me at Corner Bar for a pitcher or two...

I've only seen Jaques on Television and he looks like a solid player. But, Youso, who hasn't had the chance for the Television exposure, is hands down the better of the two. I would also rank him as #1 in the state for single A. A great head on his shoulders and unmatched passion for the game... Gop...

From what i heard, Drew Fisher ( '02-'04 Int'l Falls, '04-'05 Moorhead) is still undecided. But UMD is definitely one of his options. He tore it up down the stretch to lead Sioux Falls to the USHL Title... it would be a nice pick up for the Dogs

On paper, i'd have to give a slight edge to Hermantown. But my gut is telling me to go with the Jackets...

Go Hibbing in a nail-biter: 3-2 OT

CEC 4
GR 2

This is going to be a thrilling game, up and down action. But i give the edge to CEC because of Tyler Johnson and Reid Ellingson. Pat White and the T-Hawks will have their hands full. (Empty Netter)

The game was on 104.1 KSDM out of Int'l Falls.

As for Hjelle, he's the real deal. I wish more people could get out and watch this kid tend the nets. I hope he gets a chance to play in front of the entire state in March, then everybody can realize how good he is.

Final Score: Hermantown 3 Int'l Falls 2 Correction on saves... Hjelle 53 H-Town 23 Hermantown's first lead of the game was 13 minutes left in 3rd period. Overall, a fine game for Hjelle and the Falls. But, a lot can be said for Hermantown coming off last nights hard fought tie with D. Marshall.

I'm gonna have to agree with GR19 here and say that CEC fans can be rowdy and nasty... but a great bunch that always decked out in Lumberjack gear before all their home games (at least when i played).

This game is good for the Falls, i think they now know that Hjelle IS human after all, and he can't win all the games for 'em. But hats off to Eveleth for the win.

Personally, i'm not a huge fan of the private school in single 'A' but in this instance... i'll have to give the edge to Duluth Marshall over Hermantown. I don't know how the brackets are set up this year for the state tourney, but it'd be nice to see these two in the Finals in St. Paul.

Section 4A and 1A have maybe a couple teams that can compete at a high lever, and its not their fault they have a weaker schedule. I know that Coach Couture would prefer a tougher schedule... but it is nice having 20 win seasons every year. But the main question here involves whether the Flyers are ...

Bronco Arena in International Falls. So much history and tradition in that place. Minnesota hockey is defined in that building.
