I usually try and stay out of this recruiting debate but I thought I'd point out that sometimes the biggest "recruiting" tool the private schools have is the inefficiency of the public schools. Case in point, just over a month ago the Osseo school district decided or was in the process of...

Lou Nanne said many times both privately and publicly that Hill played the best he ever has seen in a Minnesota High School tourney. In fact, he said that before returning to his home in Edina, while he visits Hockeytown, USA, he is a Hill-Murray Pioneer fan. If I can paraphrase Bill Lechner... Lou...

My first memory was sitting behind the penalty box at the IRA civic center with my dad watching the Indians play. My best memory was watching Chad Houson make the "save of the decade" in the 1990 state tourny were Rapids took second.

1981-1982, 1989-1990, 1994-1996, 1998, 2001, and 2003-2005 were all less interesting than 2008! How can you say 1990 was boring. let me give you the scores just from Grand Rapids quaters Indians 3 Bloomington kennedy 2 in ot semis Indians 3 Anoka 2 in ot Finals Indians 1 Roseau 3 I was there and it...

[quote="Nostalgic Nerd"]Nostalgic Awards: an inferior version to the bobble (boblee) awards

Best Commentator: Lou Nanne - without him KSTC may as well fold. (It's a shame Wally Shaver is not around anymore as his play-by-play man.)

are you kidding. Most horrible commentator ever.

If its against East, who cares. :D
right, East would be #1 seed and beat Marshall. Then lose in to the #4 seed in the semis for the third year in a row.

Re: Dave Spehar

Dave Spehar probably had the greatest state tournament of all time. No disrespect to the Brotens or Phil Housley but they didn't win championships. Those early Eveleth teams were great but how many high school even had hockey then ? Spehar had 3 hat tricks and gave Duluth East it's first championsh...

The next level is a tremendous jump. Tougher yet when he's a middle sized kid playing against oversized men in a league that's ex...
