With the exception of one person - CALLING hockeyrube7, CALLING hockeyrube7 !!! - I show everyone as now in with their predictions for all remaining semifinal games. The first game today will be Elk River vs. North Wright County at 4:30, so hopefully hockeyrube7 will see this and get his picks in for today's games by 3:30.

We now have 15 contestants, so it's our largest group of the year. Melvin44 and goalzilla got in a little late and missed the 3AA and 7AA contests, so they are starting with a disadvantage. However due to some upsets (at least in the opinion of most of us here) these two are starting just 6 points behind our current leader (nmnhockeydad). So with a couple of correct scores they could easily get in the hunt.

I hope to be posting a leaderboard update later on tonight. Best of luck to all the teams and players today.

MNH, not sure if you are also awarding major cash prizes for the final round of play-offs, but the first section final is tomorrow night.

Thanks, I was planning to do one - will be adding a Section Finals Contest shortly.

Thanks, Bensonmum, my pleasure to host these. However - as evidenced by my own meager point totals - I am obviously an amateur and therefore cannot accept any cash prizes.

Well nmnhockeydad fortunately for you there will be no cash prize, because heading into tomorrow's last semifinal game day you are in first place. Tonight you nailed your 3rd correct score (Edina over EP, 4-2) and have accumulated 14 points. But watch out, Dmandad1980 is right on your heels at 13 points. He's gotten 2 scores correct including the Edina/EP game, and has picked the winners in 9 of 12 games played so far, which is pretty amazing considering all the upsets and close games.

P.S. Also check the Section Final Games contest now also going on - you must post your picks on Wednesay 2/18 by 6:00 pm to get in on the first section final game.

The semifinal games are now complete and we can name our Grand Prize Winner. Out of 15 contestants, nmnhockeydad was able to hang onto his lead this evening, getting 3 of 4 games right, and edged DmanDad1980 by a single point. DmanDad1980 got the Hopkins/North Metro score to get close, but was 0 for 3 in the other games and this proved costly.

Oilers08 and hockeyrube7 were just another point behind and tie for 3rd. Oilers08 picked all 4 winners this evening, and hockeyrube7 picked 3 of 4 plus had two of the scores correct for a great final run (4 games, 7 points!).
