Shakopee Hockey

Seems to be a revolt in the town of Shakopee regarding the Boy's Hockey coach! Parents and players want change, can't say I don't blame them.

Well, it's a shame Shakopee has to compete in AA at all. They're still in the same league as A schools like New Prague or Hutchinson. Except for girls volleyball, Shakopee has never been a sports power. It's hard to build a hockey program in a region that has never had any kind of hockey tradition.

I agree, and then they get lumped into the same section as Edina/AHA/Jefferson. It's no wonder their best players leave with what they have now. Maybe this is the schools opportunity to bring in some fresh blood to give them the jump start they badly need. Good Luck to them, they certainly deserve it.

News just in, Both the Varsity coach and Asst. Coach @ Shakopee resigned today.
