Loesch and Ben Clark are the only returning defensmen that have logged significant time. Matt Glasgow may be a game-time decision, as he is returning from an upper-body injury, too. Glasgow did log some decent minutes last year.

I believe WBL, ranked 13th by Followthepuck.com, will also be without senior Justin Hauswirth (hand).

With the inexperience and a lack of a couple of key seniors, WBL cannot afford to take penalties. As one posted the comments that Rochester is improved, this doesn't appear to be the cake-walk WBL had a year ago in a 7-1 win.

Century is ranked 20th by FollowthePuck.com, and had quality wins a year ago versus Tartan, Duluth East and Lakeville North, enroute to advancing to the state tourney. Century won 12 of it's last 14 games before hitting state. Century did graduate some key players.

WBL's line of Wahlin, Birkinbine and Wolter may just be enough to score 5 goals itself for the victory, but I would not be surprised to see a Century victory.
I beleive your correct on all the injury reports. Gjerde's absence could show in the outcome of this game. However I dont think Glasgow will make much of a drifference whether he is on the ice or not. Also, the same case with Hauswirth, I dont think he will make too large of a difference as from my knowledge I would guess he is on third line. (Which won't play too often unless WBL gains a large lead.)

Is WBL's line going to be Wahlin, Birkinbine, and Wolter? I heard Birkinbine is suspended? If he is unable to play, My guess is Pasma will play, Which will still make for a pretty decent line. Although how is Pasma doing? I heard he recently had surgery? I expect this line to net 2 or 3 goals.

Who is on the second line? David, Nasvik, and Jansen? This line could be very productive, maybe net 1 or 2 goals this game.

WBL defense will have to help out and take some shots tonight if they want to win this game.

WBL, I expect, will also have a very strong PP line. Hopefully they can draw some penalties and stay out of the box themselves.

Thanks for the reminder.. I believe Birki will not be playing.

Matt Pasma had a bursa sac explode in his elbow that looked the size of a cut-in-half baseball, and had surgery on it, but should be good to go.

I do not know who will fill in for Birkibine. My suggestion would be Mac Jansen. He is every bit as explosive as Wahlin, but has to realize he can't do it himself, AND play in the defensive zone.

Jansen should be able to hold his own on that line no problem, in my opinion he could be interchangeable with Wolter as far as all around skill is concerned.

But Wolter is certainly the better playmaker, and that's what that line needs to be superb.

I believe I heard that Brock Kautz was starting in net for Century.
I think Centurys first line will put three in and thats all they get. If Century can play good D and their second and third lines keep WBL off the board this could be a close game.
I still think WBL 5-3.

Nasvik I believe.

The score doesn't reflect the game that much, WB GA- First shot was a goal for both brand new netminders. 1 goal due to just an awful, awful lien change by WB.

Schletty and Jordan don't look too bad, i was actually pretty impressed by their play tonight.

Kautz played great as well, couple of great saves and an absolute robbery on Wahlin.

There wasn't anyone I was interested in watching play.... a long way to drive for nothing... First game I have missed in 3 years... So, I stayed home and scouted H-M....

I was told there were very few quality shots by Century, except for a couple small flurries, as to my pregame anlaysis that WBL had to limit the quality of shots. I was told Century scored their 3 goals in less than 20 shots (ended with 26,27 shots), and WBL did a nice job of keeping most shots outside the circles. Also on one occasion Jordan was deked out of his jock, but the shooter lost control of the puck that would have tied the score.

I was also told that Century's goalie made a few outstanding saves, and the score could have been worse, including a great save off Brandon Wahlin.

It appears my pregame analysis that this would be closer than most people thought was accuarte as the shots were almost even, too.

You were 8 people away from me, it was a different view.

Goldfish- Century's shot selection was poor, most were easily gobbled up. As for Jordan, he made a pretty terrific break away save. Turned the hip out, very aggressive poke check. That's what I like to see!
