Just a guess. I just like ripping WBL.

Sorry to hear it is that bad for Christian, as a former player and parent I am sure the Park player had no intention for this kind of an outcome. Kind of ridiculous that you would make that accusation, why not take out Gaade or Hyland if that was the intention?

Lets hope for a fast and full recovery for the young man not chastise the young man who is more then likely sick to his stomach that this happened as a result of his check.

And Woodbury fans are no better you just think you are, take you coming on here and accusing a player of doing this intentionally for instance.

Don't throw stones your backyard isn't the cleanest one in town either! How's the Drinking going for certian player up there?? the water fountian was still broke so he switched to the hard stuff!! WBL has never had kids thrown out of games before have they??

Where you at the game?? Take secondary accounts for what they are and thats second hand accounts.
BigShow, open your eyes. Since when does WB represent WBL? Could WB represent Woodbury. Seems more likely since it was a Woodbury hockey game.
WB meant Woodbury. I probably vented on Bigshow a little too much but I think most hockey parents get pretty upset over news like this, as I'm sure Bigshow is as well.

I wish a couple of the Park Parents would have provided some leadership for those kids who were cheering while the player was down.

Let us pray that he does not have a life long injury due to this unfortunate incident. Hockey is a game that last a couple of hours, this young man needs all of the hockey fans in Minnesota to positively support his recovery and to be in our thoughts and prayers. Let's just dedicate this thread to Christian and his recovery. He is a fine young man and let's hope that he may be able to lace up the skates again one day. Keep you spirits up, Christian, we'll all behind you!!!!!

Nice quote Sykes. Prayers for a speedy and FULL Recovery from the Ponies Stable.

I echo Youngie's sentiments, and Sykes hit the point. As I am dealing with a son who has a severe concussion, hockey is an afterthought compared to what quality of life we want our kids to have.

Im number 26 from Park and couldnt feel worse about this whole situation. There is no way on earth i would intensionally hurt another player or cheap shot them. I couldn't sleep at all last night thinking about Christian. Everyone knows Park and Woodbury games are physical. I was just trying to finish my check and he turned as i hit him and went into the boards awkwardly. Hope Christian has a fast recovery.

As for the fans i can't speak on. I can't see them cheering for an injured player. The only thing i can think of is them cheering for the other Woodbury player getting a penalty.

Hockey is just a game 26. I don't blame you for it and you sound very sincere about this. I have been in your shoes and know what it feels like. Christian is doing fine. Now get back to class! :)
Now don't take this personally but....

Christian would be the first one to agree with your assessment of the hit #26. It was an accident and no one is at fault. You take care young man, I'm praying for you and Christian.

Impressive, this post says a lot about you and your character. Stick to your values and you will go far in life. Best of luck to you and the injured young man from Woodbury.

Update on Christian Turner

Christian went into the boards head first when he was checked. The impact traveled down his spine and crushed 30% of one of his vertebrae. The two neurosurgeons do not believe that he will require additional surgery at this time and there is currently no danger to his spinal cord. He is being fitted with a body brace called a turtle shell that is made specially for him. Until the time, this is completed, he will not be able to walk. He will be hospitalized until at least Sunday. Keep Christian in our thoughts.

Thank God for that. Please, any updates would be appreciated. Everytime I hear something like this I feel like throwing up having a kid in hockey myself.

I think of Ben Peyton who happens to be my 2nd cousin.
Christian has a broken back and a compressed disc. He will be out for 5-6 months in recovery. There's NO conceivable way that Park kid DIDN"T know that check would be from behind. It was cheap, vengeful and intentional. That kid should be banned for the remainder of the season. As for the fans, it's typical Park behavior. From Squirts forward, ALL Park teams play like that and fans act that way.

Is this because every kid that plays in a rivalry game is intentially out to headhunt? And if you're going to talk about team acting terrible look at your own woodbury team as well. Kids throwing out death threats? I'm sorry but that is completely classless.

The park boys played with heart last night. It was an amazing game. #26 did not intentionally hurt Christian. It was a fluke. He is a good kid as is all the Park boys Hockey team. As for 5 years ago, that was a different group of kids with a different coach, you need to let that one go. This incident did shake up the Park boys. Believe it or not, they have feelings. As for the students. They cheered when Christian first got hit. It's a part of the game. But they did not continue to cheer when he was lying on the ice. They cheered when Woodbury got a penalty and they booed when #26 got ejected. It was a late call by the officials. The students had teachers down all the stair cases and the teachers wouldn't allow such disrespect.

As for the water in Cottage Grove.... They have Woodburys crap running through there along with the Chemolite plant. Doesn't mean these boys are part animal!!!

Keep playing hard Park! God be with you Christian and your family and team mates. God speed!!!

It's not just hockey either, I've had plenty of bad experience with Soccer and other sports.

EDIT: As for you 26, I can feel the sincerity because you clearly made an account for the purpose of posting that. He clearly needed to get that out in the open, and I applaud him for it. =D>

Geez... generalize there much? BTW... I'm from Woodbury and I want to see the team beat Park as much as the next guy, but that hit was not intentional and every other Woodbury person in attendance that I spoke to agrees.

Please don't post crap like this anymore... your bitterness and generalizations are an embarrassment to Woodbury. Try to keep it classy.

I have seen less offensive remarks by others on this site taken of by the site admin. Almost all of the people at the game say the same thing, not intentional. I have had the pleasure of coaching 26 and he is in noway a dirty player. In fact theyre are some very good relationships between some of the woodbury players and park players. Gods speed for christian...

Nice to see that Woodbury junior Christian Turner was able to dress and warm up with the team in the 3AA quarterfinals and semifinals.
